“Delicious, authentic meal! Had this and the hot appetizer sampler platter. The seasonings were absolutely touching to the taste buds. All three meats on the kabob platter were marinated and tender. Highly recommend this little treasure in Newport News. The man (I’m assuming the owner) who served us was so nice and informative about the food of his culture. Thank you so much! Also that green sauce in this picture was absolutely my favorite!!!“
“The Greek chicken salad is the best salad I’ve had anywhere. The dressing is perfect. Large portion, I never leave feeling hungry . The staff is amazing. This place is always busy with dine in’s and take out’s. There is only 3 workers so when they’re slammed, I don’t mind being patient because I know the food won’t ever disappoint.“
“Vancostas gives me a diner vibe. The restaurant has been around a while so it explains some of the dated decor. The decor had no affect on my food or the service provided to me because both were great!Heather was our waitress and she made sure to make our first experience an awesome one! I ordered the French toast breakfast which came with a side (I got bacon) and 2 eggs (mine were scrambled with cheese). My husband ordered steak & eggs and an extra order of toast. Our total was $40 including tip.You can use card or cash!“
“Always amazing food selection. Great quality. Everything looks freshly chopped and you can see the food being made while your in line. The workers always explain which sauces are what and never make me feel rushed. Highly recommend for a healthy alternative.“

“Once a month, I’ll make the 15-20 minute each way drive to get take out for my family. Yes, there are closer places to me to get the same menu items, but Jimmy da Greek is the best! Food is delicious with plenty of options. The restaurant is clean and comfortable. The staff members are delightful and friendly, and they appreciate veterans. When the weather is nice, sometimes there’s live entertainment. I highly recommend this place!“
“We just placed an order through DoorDash this afternoon for a 12” Meat Lovers and 8” Margherita. I just wanted to send a quick message to say thank you and that the pizza was quite possibly the best we have ever tasted. “The food is excellent! I truly can’t say enough good to convey how wonderful it is. I had the fahsa tonight. It was delicious! I had intended to take some home to share with my parents, but it was so good that all of us at the table just kept savoring it with the hot bread that comes with it. I’ll just have to take my parents to Shibam so they get the full experience. BTW, our waiter is perfect! We’ve been lucky enough to have him each time.“
