Food and service was good. Seems really empty for the time we ate here. I would argue its tastes better than 80% of the Mexican places in Newport News. Seems to do more take out than dining in. Parking is annoying though. I hope this place lasts.

I went around last week for a late lunch as a party of 3. The atmosphere was pretty nice, and I liked how spacious it was. You won't feel cramped even if there are a lot of people.As for the food itself, it was very good. We ordered Discada Tres Borrachos, Carnitas Guanajuato, and Arroz con Camarones. They were all good in their own right and nicely seasoned. Also, the portions are pretty generous and well worth the price. Even the water cups are large. Basically, you won't be disappointed in terms of food or service.

Tres Borrachos restaurant is amazing. The food was delicious, the drinks were on point. I had the Hawaiian margarita and it was delicious. The food was delicious and the service is excellent. The staff is friendly and welcoming. We are definitely making this restaurant our to go and distress from the every day hustle.You have to give it a try!!!!

Tried the place out for lunch, I eat at Mexican restaurants on a erage once a week. So a new one opened up so had to give it a try. Did take out, food was made quickly, however my order was wrong, but I was back at work before I knew. As for the food it was decent, nothing wowed me about it, chorizo was not good at all, and chicken was a bit dry. I don't think I'll be rushing to come back. Maybe I'll come back in a few months to give them time to work out the bugs.

The only thing I noticed was that the music was quite loud, but that may have been because we were in the corner booth near the speaker lol. I had the tropical burrito and it was amazing!! It is really difficult to find a Mexican restaurant that is authentic and not everything tastes the same, but i think I have found it. I noticed tamales were on the menu and home made daily! This is a sign of a good Mexican restaurant for me. I also got fried ice cream and my friend got the sopapillas for dessert. YummmmmParking: Big lot but apartments over the restaurant so theres people hanging out in the lot constantly

They were so kind and prompt when we sat down. I went with my cousin to catch up on life. The atmosphere was so great, the music was perfect. They have seating away from the bar so that was awesome. They have a TON of items to choose from. We got the street tacos and omg they were amazing. 10/10 recommend and will be coming back again and again. Plaza Azteca DEFINITELY has some competition.

I’ll be honest, the restaurant is new in the area, there are things to improve.The margarita tasted strange, it was salty (the border didn’t have salt ) it couldn’t be drink very well but the team was very kindly and they change it and the second one was perfect.The food is abundant what is good, what we didn’t think was that my husband ordered the Tropical fajitas and on the menu it said that they served it in the pineapple, which didn’t happen and they didn’t know what answer to give us, that also lacked the cheese from the same dish but it could be resolved; the service was not bad but not the best, we were with the dirty table for several minutes, we asked for the bill we paid and the table was still full of dirty dishes.Only things to improve. I would give u a second opportunity

After living in VA for a few months now, I’ve finally found some great Mexican food in this new hidden gem. I had the amazing borracho tacos that were bursting with flavor. I also happen to be a Hennessy lover so when I saw a margarita on the menu with Hennessy in it I had to try it. Drinks, food, service…nothing disappointed.
