Place is good, omelets are small but tasty. Friendly staff, clean hipster environment.

We got the general tso chicken and waffles. It was horrible. We got two pieces of chicken tenderloins that were dusted in flour and fried. The chicken tasted like flour & salt. There was nothing about that chicken that was general tso. The chicken was dry. The waffle was super basic and cold. The presentation looked like a kids meal. There was also hair in our food. We have never went some place to eat and have to leave cause the food was not worth remaining seated. My teenagers make a much better breakfast than what we had there. Never again. Suggestion: work on the quality of your food and think... "would I eat that"... "how would I feel If i paid for this food?" If you cheap out on your customers you will lose business. We got a refund. But this was such a bad experience on a place we had been wanting to try for sometime.

Where to start... the place it self sets a quick eats vibe. A small spot to grab a bite and no alcohol drinks. You order food at the counter they bring it out, ok. My friend ordered (pictures included) a side of fried fish, it was ok ...along with the SOS platter, which was supposed to be parmesan Texas toast ( it was slices of toasted white bread) sausage gravy, which the sausage was laid on top of the white bread then the overly floured down pasty gravy was on top... sausage is usually mixed into the gravy mixture at least that's how I've always had it. The potatoes were ehhh you can see from the pictures... moving on to my general tso chicken & waffles. My chicken was on the plate with my eggs, the waffles were hard, the chicken had a hair on it, and to top it off as you can see it wasn't even cooked properly. It was a tender!! Just how!! On top of that the waitress had the nerve to hassle us about paying for two extra slices of said white bread which again as you see from the pic wasn't eaten along with the rest of the uncooked, undercooked, half cooked entrees we received. And to top it off we spent $45 including!!! An 18% tip to get this MESS & mediocre service! If this is what this place is serving I see why restaurants have high turnovers & suffering during COVID. Literally eat here at your own risk.

Absolutely great service and the food taste so good. They are quick as well even on their packed days. Definitely would eat here again. 10/10 recommended

Closed an hour before their stated hours. I am getting very tired of all the lazy businesses in this horrible town closing before they say they are. Norfolk and it's restaurants are a joke

1st time visitors!!! The service was outstanding! We started with the Lumpia which was out of this world! I ordered the Loco Moco and Hubby ordered General Tso Chicken and Waffles and the flavors were amazing!! Finished the meal with beingets and they tasted like HEAVEN!!! Ed was phenomenal! We will definitely be back for another visit!

Average staff. Average food. AMAZING beignets If you want an authentic restaurant production then this isn't the place for you. You order by going up to a bar and checking out at a cash register. A member of the staff will then deliver food to the table when it is ready (people at your table will receive their food at different times). The staff at this place was very mixed. Some of them were very kind, helpful, and informational. However, other individuals in the staff were lazy, rude, and/or unhelpful. The food itself was just okay. I was disappointed to discover that this place did not have hot tea (as we went here to try their brunch). The eggs and bacon were just above hotel continental breakfast quality (see picture attached). The waffles were cooked perfectly however it tasted like a box pancake mix was used for them. The breakfast bowls were really good but the best item by FAR is their beignets. Unless I have an intense craving for really good beignets, I will not be going here again.

Fantastic Beignets, Mediocre Everything Else Let's start off with the positive. Holy HERA those beignets kick serious a*** I've yet to visit New Orleans, but based on what my friend who has been to New Orleans told me, these beignets were about as close to perfect as you can get. They pair splendidly with the jam or cream cheese sauce. I think I preferred the glazed beignets over the cinnamon ones, but I wouldn't force anyone to choose one or the other. It's like choosing between two perfect 10's; why choose when you can try both? Kidding! But seriously, try the beignets. Everything else? It wasn't better than GOOD. The Loco Moco wasn't authentic, but it tasted FINE. The waffles were just plain waffles and the burger was a burger. The worst part of the experience for me was going up to order food. It probably took 18 minutes AT LEAST to order food at the counter. This one server snapped at a lady for leaning on the counter while she waited, and the lady was really taken aback by the way in which she was spoken. I felt bad for her. Steven, one of the managers, was very kind, so it may just be the one server. Go here for the beignets. Please don't second guess this. Go here once. And personally? Don't get anything else here. The beignets will leave you on a special cloud in heaven. Why would you ever want to be anywhere else?

Really not sure where all the awesome reviews come from. My potatoes never came out and had to go to the counter to remind them. Cheese grits were unsalted with 1 slice of cheese plopped on top. Don't even get me started on the flavorless and rubbery omelet. I didn't finish any of the food. This is an order and pay at the counter spot. Other than being brought your food, you never interact with any wait staff. Definitely passing on this one.

NICE STAFF AT THE REGISTER IS ALL I CAN SAY! That is all I can say about this place that we came from Virginia Beach to try per the reviews! I must say that the reviews were for mostly breakfast/egg items, so I had high hopes for the lunch items too, but when we went in, the young lady at the register was nice and told us what to do to order, but the menu online and the menu on the table were different so when we went to order, she had to ask if they had every item we wanted! My daughter got an alcoholic drink, which was good and I got iced tea, which has some orange powder in the ice when she handed us the cup; she just went and got ice from the back machine and went on about her business and didn't address the dirty ice!!! I ordered a crabcake sandwich that was small for $15 and thin-sliced potato skin fries; I had to send them back because they were not cooked all the way and had no seasoning! The manager took them back and brought them to me again and they were just dumped in the grease and were still greasy and still not crispy! (Brought home for the air fryer!) We ordered mozzarella sticks too and the server brought them to the table with ketchup packets and said they were out of marinara sauce; you can't eat those without the sauce, so we didn't want them! The manager said they did have marinara sauce and went to get it and the girl asked if we still wanted them---SHE BROUGHT THE SAME COLD ONES BACK TO THE TABLE!!!??This was a terrible experience, but the nice lady at the register wanted us to give it another try, but I think we'll pass since my daughter is allergic to eggs and the non-egg items are not worth the trip!!!!

I’ve tried food many times from this establishment.. The food is GOOD, however ordering 757 crave through DoorDash delivery is absolutely terrible. My breakfast plates arrives with an food item missing EVERYTIME. And the beignets ? Over time have just gotten worse in quality.?

The best thing about this place is the staff; they are very welcoming & friendly. Oh, and the bacon was really good. Otherwise, the food was just "okay". It took so long to get food that the couple next to us asked for refund. We waited for ours. Once our food arrived, it looked scrumptious.......yet like it had been sitting for a bit, and tasted as such as well. My honey only ate his bacon & sausage, and left the rest. My bowl dish wasn't anything to rave about either. All-in-all, for us, it was nice to try a new place, yet nowhere that we plan to go back to. We probably should had ordered a popular dish to ensure a better experience.

Street parking is always the worst in Norfolk but luckily bc of the recent snow we were able to get a spot fairly close. You walk in and are kindly greeted. You sit at the table and have to use your phone to view the menu, when ready to order, head to the counter and pay. The part I didn't like about this process was the tip request. How do you expect to be tiled before the service. Made us very uncomfortable, as she stared at us waiting to do a calculation. The food was good. I wish we had been more adventurous in our order, I'd like to go back and try their lumpia and beignets to give a review that reflects better quality. Instead I went with my safety of eggs, sausage and pancakes. Sausage was delicious. The eggs were over cooked. The pancakes were the same if you went to IHOP. My husband got the steak, egg, and cheese burrito. He said it was pretty good, good size/portion, just needed a bit more flavor. Absolutely use the sour cream and salsa to help. Potato "chips" had good flavor but were a bit soggy. Overall, I liked it well enough and would give it another chance but I'd recommend avoiding the "normal" breakfast choices if you don't want to walk out uninspired.
