First time visiting Leone’s, and I will say, it wasn’t a terrible experience. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the AMAZING service from our waitress, Molly (who gave us great recommendations for the food). However, the bruschetta and the table bread were both dry and not tasty at all (almost ruined the meal). I feel like Carrabbas has better tasting table bread to offer… Overall, enjoyable experience, but would only go back for the pasta not the bread.
Without a doubt one of the best Italian meals I've had in the states, and better than some that we've had in Italy. Service was excellent, and we were able to get a table for 2 at a high top with no reservation on a Saturday night.The veal chop was substantial and cooked perfectly, and the burrata appetizer was beautiful. We have some Italian friends and in their opinion, Leone's is as close as it gets to authentic Italian in the Hampton Roads area. We sampled the meatballs as an appetizer and I ended up ordering it for an entree they were so good! They have a great wine list and great cocktail options.
