Norfolk location needs a class on customer service. Went on 03/24/24 and the employee had the worst attitude. Before I could even get my order out she rolled her eyes. The store also needed to be cleaned. Tables were sticky and floor was sticky as well.

My husband ordered the coffee lover and I ordered the strawberry cheesecake ice cream. The person who made our orders never even gave my husband a cone like he asked for, instead just threw it into a bowl, then right after making his ice cream, she made mine right on top of the remaining bits of my husband's. There was peanut sauce, pecans, and chocolate chips in my strawberry cheesecake ice cream. Thankfully I am not allergic to any of those ingredients, but I was, they could have hurt us for not making sure we if we had any allergies or cleaning the station for a new flavor of ice cream. They need to be more attentive to what they are doing and how they talk to their customers, I didn’t see one employee smile once, and made it seem like we were a bother.

I ordered two founders favorite, instead I got vanilla ice cream with sprinkles and brownie and no pecans. I gave the two stars because I literally hate sprinkles, this is the second time I’ve purchased a bowl and had sprinkles in my ice cream. I didn’t ask for sprinkles just what I ordered which was founders favorite. The staff also needs a customer service class, they all just stare at you when you walk in.

Worse Cold Stone , I've ever been to. Had a buy one get one for free coupon. My wife received said coupon via text on March 2. We went into the location on March 9th to redeem the coupon. Once our order was made the employee that made our order went to ring us up. When my wife entered her phone number on the rewards kiosk , it prompted " are you sure you would like to redeem. We selected yes and immediately the computer tried to print something but it failed. The young lady attempted to help us and the manager walked over and told her she got it. She tried to explain what happened and without listening the manager said " It does not print out anything. The manger then proceeded to tell us " You cannot use a reward if you just signed up today". My wife went on to explain she received this coupon on March the 2nd and when we clicked redeem the printer failed. She said well it says we have a point balance of 30 and we wouldn't have a reward. My wife again explained that she received this coupon March 2nd and that we just clicked yes to redeem. She got a attitude with me and my wife and said "Its nothing she can do" ( Sidenote we went to the VA Beach Towne Center location and the manager Skylar helped us and was able to bring up a coupon on her screen and informed us the Norfolk location is known for bad customer service.) Not only was the manager on duty very rude. She also embarrassed us in front of other customers and ignored us to help someone else while we stood there. She claimed her boss was on a vacation and she was the only person we could speak to. I will never return to this location even as a resident of Norfolk ill go elsewhere before I spend a dollar at this location. Treat your customers better, other stores should not know you have a bad rep. If I could leave a negative star I would. And the establishment smelled like fabulosa instead of a ice cream parlor.

Assistant GM closed store over 10 minutes early and looked at me laughing as I tried to open the door. There were 4 people in the store as they walked out I asked why did they lock the door so early, she said they closed early and she could not make one more cup of ice cream, and that she closed the register as soon as the last 4 customers walked out.

Went for desert after dinner with my wife and the employee attitude was as if she didn’t wanna be there. The ice cream wasn’t mixed well either so I won’t be back for a while unless it’s in the afternoon on another shift.

I don't review often but this location needs to be changed or shut down. Service is so slow and the staff are rude. Unfortunately, the manager is extremely rude too. They aren't very friendly, even to kids, which is disappointing. What confuses me the most is that when you try and order over the phone the staff hang up or are short with you. I try to be very kind and respectful of people I don't know, but the people here are just plain rude. No gloves, which typically I have no problem with if you wash your hands, but none of these employees do so. It's typically messy, the floors are sticky and for some reason it's really hot in there. I haven't had an issue with any other location besides this one and now the one in Virginia Beach in Redmill, which I suspect is owned by the same person. I would be very careful before ordering here and try to find an alternative if possible.

Wow we went in on a Sunday night Labor Day weekend and all those negative reviews weren't anywhere near what we experienced. Young man that took our 4 orders was efficient, correct, very business-like. The shop was very busy all the customers we saw were getting what the ordered quickly and correctly. This Sunday night crew nailed it.

The girl with the lil fro is rude asab , she don’t know how to do customer service at all ! She definitely going to be the down fall for this cold stone ! I will never come to this cold stone again .

Went to cold stone for the ice cream day promotion. The whole point of the promotion is to get people to sign up for the rewards system so they get money off. Once we created the account, we got to the register and tried to get money off as promised, however the workers informed me that our number wasn't coming up, and they couldn't give us the promotion. After this, I explained that if we have an account and it's not coming up then it's a problem with the system, not with my account. They refused to give us the money off because "the account was new". Very disappointed in the treatment we had to deal with. Will not be returning to this location.

Nothing to do with my order. Staff got to be more presentable and professional. Take the job serious. Doesn’t look good to have pants sagging walking back and forth with your boxers showing. The place was pack took about 40 minutes to order also some of the staff were too busy fulfilling online orders.
