Amazing service and very good food. Will be back. My partner got the bibimbap and I got a spicy soup with short ribs, eggs and noodles. Both were so good. They have so many side dishes but kimchi is my favorite. We were nervous coming in because no one was there and then this sweet lady came out to greet us. She was telling us how so many people would dine and dash and I insisted that we would pay before hand.

I have only eaten once as I was craving for some Korean noodle dish. It was delicious and the services was very nice. Side dishes are delicious too.?I learned that the lady told me that the dish I was getting was a cold dish, which I was aware. I guess the previous customers complained about certain food dishes were served cold despite the menu specified the meal are served cold or spicy.?Please be aware of the prices on the review photos. The meal costs on the photos is more than 5 years ago, prices changed. It's no longer that price.?

Me and my Husband came here out of curiosity on the weekend. It was something we didn't initially planned on going to but I'm glad we did! The looks might be deceiving but the woman taking care of us was a sweetheart! The food was delicious and all of it tasted fresh! My husband got the fried rice combination and I got the spicy octopus with noodles and we were both pleased with it. Please give this place a try and give it the love it deserves!

Norfolk Garden is an overlooked, hidden little gem in the rough. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but it's clean, and the food is its own magic. It was quiet when we went for lunch today. Sadly, the menus now have notices stating you must pay first taped to the front owing to people dining and dashing a little too much. This is more than shameful given the quality and quantity of delicious food served here by the charming unobtrusive attentive staff here. This spot deserves so much more traffic than it seems to get anymore.Definitely get the Kim-Bap, and try K-22 if you are a stone bowl Bibimbap fan. You will get the full traditional Korean service with tasting dishes first.Last but certainly not least is the cinnamon tea they bring you as a final digestive. You will not want it to end as it is refreshing and just the right level of sweet to wrap your meal with.If you're looking for something local and new to you that isn't new to try, please give this place a shot.

My husband and I drive by this restaurant everyday, and finally decided to stop in, we weren't sure if it was open, but saw the sign that they were! We were quickly greeted by who we assume was the Owner, the older Korean woman and she was very attentive, and soo kind, despite what other reviews have said. The food came out quickly and was amazing! We enjoyed the kimbap, which was so fresh and crisp, as well as the tteokbokki, so chewy and soft, the sauce was perfect. I had the kimchi jigae and was blown away by the flavor! I was so full at the end. I had to take some to go. At the end we were given a little cup of tea! Ginger cinnamon tea that was so refreshing! We will be coming back again! Definitely my favorite restaurant!

I got the kimbap and vegetable pancake and both are amazing! Their side dishes taste just like my mom's. I will be going back again soon to try other dishes!

In the summer, Hubby and I have been looking for naengmyeon noodles cuz it had been so hot but also many years since we last had this dish but none of the Korean places we know make this dish. So thanks to Yelp we called here and low and behold they make it! Literally 5 mins after calling we hopped in our car and headed towards the restaurant and we were so glad we did! They had the most variety of traditional Korean dishes I have seen in the 757 so far! And all the banchan she gave to us tasted so fresh! The naengmyeon noodles were so good! You could tell it was homemade and not just packaged broth and seasonings!! Loved it all! Do not let the exterior fool you, this place is great!!!

As a long time customer, I brought a friend with me to try Norfolk Garden for the first time and ranted and raved about how good it is. And of course, it was the WORST service I've ever had in my life there. We ended up leaving after waiting for 20 minutes just to be acknowledged and a large party came in AFTER us and took primary focus. Only AFTER they had been helped, did the waitress deem to come over and help us. The entire time she was downright rude, huffing, puffing, rolling her eyes, tapping her foot. Then when we tried to order food, almost everything we tried to order she said they were too busy to make (which was not a problem for the large party that was there). So eventually she literally snatched the menus from our hands and just walked away and we just looked at each other in complete shock and took our business elsewhere. Norfolk Garden, you may have good food but, you need to get your staff together. That treatment was extremely embarrassing bringing someone from out of town and having told them how good it was to be treated so poorly. We were paying customers just like the large table and should have been treated with the same respect. Shame on you! I will never suggest this place to anyone again. And there are plenty of other places to go now to get good Korean BBQ that treat you better.

Nestled along a bustling Norfolk road lies a charming little secret - Norfolk Garden. Stepping into this Korean haven felt like discovering a hidden treasure, especially on a night when it seemed like only the little Korean lady was running the entire show. Yes, she was single-handedly running the show, from unlocking the door (the number by the entrance is your key to the kingdom!) to whizzing between kitchen and tables. Yet, amidst the understaffing, an endearing magic unfolded. The booth became our cozy stage, where a parade of nine (!) side dishes arrived, each a miniature masterpiece. Kimchi in its tangy-spicy glory, sweet black beans, julienned potato stir-fry, and more - I haven't encountered such generosity in side dishes in a long time! The seafood pancake, a golden disc of crispy perfection, held treasures of the sea within, perfectly complemented by the tangy-spicy-savory sauce. The sizzling stone plate became a fiery canvas for the beef bulgogi, the marinated meat meltingly tender and bursting with flavor. And then there was the stonepot bibimbap, a vibrant rainbow of vegetables and savory beef, begging to be mixed with the fiery gochujang sauce. Each bite was a delightful explosion of textures and tastes. But the true star of the show was the little Korean lady herself. Running the entire restaurant solo, she never faltered. Her smiles and quick trips between tasks were infused with a quiet dedication that warmed our hearts as much as the food. I cannot forget to mention the little dessert and sweet ginger barley tea she gave us as a thank you. Norfolk Garden may not be your typical, bustling Korean restaurant, but it offers something far more precious - a glimpse into the soul of Korean hospitality and traditional Korean folk music. The food, bursting with flavor and generosity, speaks volumes about the passion behind it. And the one-woman show that unfolded before us was a heartwarming spectacle of resilience and grace. Norfolk Garden, you earned all five stars and then some. You're not just a restaurant; you're an experience, a testament to the magic that happens when passion meets plate. Thank you for the delicious food, the side dish bounty, and most importantly, the lesson in hospitality. We'll be back, kimchi and kindness awaiting.
