I told him that this was my first visit. (Everyone else had been several times) Oh then he proceeded to bring bite size samples for me to try. Outstanding customer service and absolutely delicious mini cupcakes…among other yummy treats that I bought for myself. I ordered two dozen each of the chocolate, lemon and vanilla. “The sandwiches here are insane. The first sandwich we got was great, like honestly so delicious we ordered a different one. The second one, I think it was a Russian style wasnt as good. There was just a pile of meat in the middle, unlike the first sandwich which was well balanced and delectable. That is more of a personal taste, though. I also ordered their lavender latte. Might be just me cause I used to drink from Starbucks, but there wasn't any lavender flavor in there. It was just coffee, and I felt kinda scammed since again, no lavender. The interior was just like a normal cafe, with charging ports and wifi. The sandwich maker guy seemed pretty happy we liked his sandwich so much“

“This family-owned spot has great food like the old-school Italian restaurants. We dined here on a Saturday and enjoyed a veggie pizza (delicious), Greek salad, and gyros. I like the option of getting pizza by the slice too. Everything is fresh and homemade. The staff was very friendly and accommodated my request for a veggie gyro. “If you’re craving authentic, flavorful and juicy kebabs this place will hit the spot! Super fast service even with the dish needing to be cooked freshly. Sameer, Abdul and the entire team run this restaurant so effectively you don’t have to worry about a single thing waiting (shortly) for your food. They give you ample amount of chutney, sauces and sides like onion and jalapeno while the food is prepared. I ordered #14 chicken and kubideh kabob with a side of chick peas, and I have to say- this will be my new go to spot for kebabs in the DMV from now on. 10/10!“

Their pad Thai is perfection, and their sushi is so beautiful it almost pains me to eat it because it's so beautiful but it's DELICIOUS. “Local family operated restaurant in Springfield focuses on pho and banh mi! I ordered the pork belly one and the chicken banh mi to compare the quality of the ingredients. I did notice that they mislabeled one of my sandwiches and received the cold cuts banh mi instead of the chicken banh mi which I was a little bit disappointed about but the sandwich was good. I also got their iced viet coffee with lychee jelly and my goodness was the coffee strong cause it had me up for hours! The use of ingredients from the bread to the vegetables and garnish are definitely high quality. What I admired about the location is the passion I saw from the family to make sure they gave to each customer even though they were a bit backlogged when I was waiting for the food. Ambiance wise they have plenty of tables for you to seat down and enjoy your meal. This is new to me but they have shelves along the counter with what I assume are Vietnamese pastries, definitely will do some research and try some next time. They have a bit to work on the logistics and the layout in the restaurant for better flow behind the counter but I look forward to returning to try other offerings on their menu.“

I seriously have to drive out of my way, Springfield, to get the Best Italian on the East Coast. It’s worth every second. “Kumo is my go to spot for sashimi/sushi in the DMV area. My favorite asian fusion restaurant for over 10 years. It is perfect for date night, special occasions and business lunches. I've taken my children here and they love it. Everything on the menu is delicious and their prices are reasonable. The sashimi and sushi are crazy fresh. Our usual includes Salt & Pepper Shrimp, Hunan Triple Crown, Salt & Pepper Soft Shell Crab, and General Tso's Shrimp. This hidden gem is tucked away in a strip mall in Kingstowne. They do get busy, so I would make a reservation especially if you're going on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday.Parking: Open lot, plenty of parking“

“Usually First Watch is very good. Good food and good service. Kind of a slow wait, if you get there around 10am on Sunday. Unfortunately, Sunday, April 21 wasn't as good. Got there about 7:45am. Hubby and I got sat to the left of the bar area. Sat for about 10 minutes. A guy, by himself, got seated in the same area. He was served his coffee and his order was taken. I said to the server, "Don't forget about us over here." She looked over and then left. We waited a few minutes, then got up and asked to speak to the manager. He said sorry about that, we can seat you in another area if you'd like. I noticed the server starting out, then she turned around and went the other way. Not sure what her problem was that day. So we went to IHOP, got sat and served right away.“

“Yard House is a relaxed spot for happy hour and/or upgraded bar food. The restaurant / bar is very modern. This is a nice place to have dinner before catching a movie at Regal Cinemas next door. We shared the onion ring tower and the 20 oz bone-in ribeye blackened with shrimp and crispy brussel sprouts. Onion rings were crispy and the steak was amazingly tender. My husband still talks about it.“
