“Good place to eat, good value (generally), nice atmosphere, clean, and friendly servers. Malina waited on us during our most recent visit, and she did a great job. The food isn't always as delicious as it could be, but, and I've said this before, my sense is that the management and staff try. It has and will continue to be one of our go-to places.“

“We liked the Metro Diner so much we went for dinner on Friday night and Saturday morning when we checked out of the hotel. Friday night was their fried fish plate special. We both ordered the fish plate. The fish was not heavily battered and the fries were hit and crisp. My husband had the salad which unfortunately he had to go through because of some bad leaves of lettuce and I had the loaded potato soup which was thick and tasty for our starters. The next day we both ordered their classic breakfast of eggs, bacon, grits, toast and pancakes. If we travel in this area again, we will definitely come back. For both meals are servers were very nice.“
“I've been looking for a great omelette with real breakfast home fries since I moved to the Hampton roads area. They amazed me when I opened my tray. Everything was seasoned perfectly and with great flavors. I highly recommend them, I can't wait to enjoy them again maybe for lunch.“

“The diner is a bit compact but it is a diner. The food is amazing. Truly home-cooked taste as it is. The service is great. They make you feel like you're home. Love it. Breakfast is sleep inducing. Taste like grandma cooking.Parking: Also has handicap parking. Strip mall parking.“
“It's typical diner style inside. It's very clean and the staff are pleasant. I sat with two coworkers and we all paid separately. One had three eggs, sausage, English muffin and hash browns. I had one egg, bacon & toast. Our bills were $15 and $14 respectively. I felt I over paid by a lot. I will probably not go back. I can't eat a lot of food but don't expect to be penalized for it. The food was good.“
“I've been eating here since 2018. The food is awesome and they load the plates up, it's cheap and the service is pretty good. The cooks push out food really fast and the quality isn't affected by that. Also, if there's not a table open, they hurry up to clear a table for you. When you're done, you pay at the counter and go about your day. 10/10 best little breakfast place I've found in the Hampton Roads area.“
