“I love this secret spot in Portsmouth!! If you are looking for a local business owner to support, this one is it!! The servers are nice and pleasant! Even though they are a brunch spot that closes at 3pm on Sunday's (wish it was 5pm for the after church crew), they treat you with respect and provide you with fresh food even at 230pm! They made my daughter's 18th birthday brunch a great experience! My 10 yr old gave them a 10 out of 10! Clean and classy environment too!! It's five stars for me! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“Went to "Cocktails and Candle Making" event here. Absolutely lovely place. We had the opportunity to choose our fragrance out of many scents for our candles. The candles turned out fragrant and very pretty. Meanwhile, there were cocktails, fun and stimulating conversation, with live music. Unfortunately, at this time there are no food sells, but it's a great place for your book club to meet up, to hang out for cocktails, music, finding your favorite scent, and socializing.”

“This place is great! I have gluten issues & I am vegan so to find a place that can accommodate me other than just offering salads or sides was awesome. Got the Lions mane chicken sandwich with waffle bread & it was fantastic!! Elderberry tea is really good & you can get all their teas iced which I loved. It does take a bit to get your food because it’s really cooked to order but our food was piping hot when it came out. We will definitely be back next time we are in VA!”

The waitress, She is always very nice and accommodating. She's great! The bathrooms are very clean, and the restaurant in general is also very clean. The owner painted several of the murals inside the restaurant, it's beautiful! Also, alot of their decorations have come directly from Thailand! I love the pad Thai , my husband has tried two different dishes, and both were was amazing. The soup he got this time was a Thailand traditional and authentic dish... it had a very awesome coconut taste that I can't even explain. The prices are great as well, we got the crab Rangoons again, and they are just so delicious. Everything about this restaurant is five stars to me, if you have not checked this place out, you are missing out!”

“My family and I celebrated my husband birthday here on Sunday 4/28/2024. We arrived about 12:30 p.m. and the host was very nice and we did not have to wait long at all to be seated. We were greeted by the sweetest and most delightful waitress by the name of Kirsten Roberts. She introduced herself and made sure we were comfortable. Immediately began taking orders, made sure everyone was seated and continuously checked on us. We had a large party which also included kids and she was marvelous!!!!! “Thai Basil is the best Thai food in Hampton roads! It is so authentic, the most of any other Thai restaurant I’ve tried here. Their food is delicious every single time. It is definitely the best pad thai I’ve had in all of Virginia, there is no place like it around. It is always my go-to meal when I want a perfect portion plus leftovers! Their curry and drunken noodles are also really good!!!”

“I go to this location about every other month and look forward to being greeted by the cheery employees. The employees are delight. This location is also clean and the service is timely. The food is what you expect but it is also hot not warmed. The entertainment I think is the young blonde lady that sit in the corner chatting loudly on her phone - she is alway there when I go - maybe this location is her "work from home" spot or she maybe works there and is on break. Either way I am entertained by her phone conversations.”

The best oxtails and mac'n cheese I've had at a Jamaican spot. The oxtails are tender and the mac'n cheese is seasoned well. The price for the large oxtails is affordable too!”

We ordered the teriyaki wings and chicken basket. My husband said the wings were really good. And they were big and juicy. Another couple joined us and we shared and they said the same thing. No less then orders of 10. The chicken basket was just ok. The fries were cold and the chicken a bit overdone. The prices were reasonable too. I didn't feel like anything was overpriced. And they have a HH until 7. I think it's drinks only. No food specials....but I could be wrong. If you like a good, locals bar then stop in. Nothing fancy. With Panda Express, the food is never over cooked. They'll explain to you which of their restaurants have "dumplings ", and which ones do NOT! They're open late, do big portions, and although technically a "fast food restaurant ", I enjoy their food, service and friendly attitude.”

However, I was disappointed that we did not receive a receipt and was missing an item from our bag and had to turn around after going halfway out the way. For instance, as we were stating the specifics of our sandwich she was asking about the drink when we hadn't even finished what we were saying about the sandwich. I was looking for that home-grown, real saucy, thin crust, enormous pie made in a brick oven kind of pizza; like back in the day. “My wife and I drove an hour and 45 minutes to try The Bier Garden and we were not disappointed! Very friendly staff, attentive and quick service. The food was great! The "small" pretzel is still pretty big, the fried mushrooms were huge! We tried the rouladen (thin steak with mustard wrapped around pickle, onion & bacon), blaukraut (red cabbage), spätzle (a type of dense egg noodle), bratkartoffeln (fried potatoes and onions). My German wife was very happy and agreed that everything was delicious! Oh, and the gift shop is awesome too! Many awesome items and authentic foods. I was hoping my wife would find some things that reminded her of her childhood in Germany and she absolutely did. As an American who has never been to Germany it gives me a chance to try these things too. Just an all around cool place. I definitely recommend giving it a try!”

“Stopped in on Super Bowl Sunday and WOW!!!!! I will definitely be back! while.the hostess didn't excited me the waitress was ON POINT! It was pretty busy but she pointed out the specials, took drink orders, answered menu questions and made recommendations too! Now the food.......Slap yo momma good! Best Shrimp n Grits I've had in life!”

“Enjoyed a Sunday afternoon family dinner. Some of our selections were Shrimp Basket w/fries and slaw, Homestyle Fried Chicken w/mashed potatoes, collard greens or Jasmine rice or Sweet Potatoes Mashed. Deliciously served and attended to by a great waitress. ?”

“Stopped in on way from hospital. They now have fried eggs for the biscuit's! Oh my now I can truly get biscuits just like my mamaw made....country good, soft and filling.”

“Security was very professional and respectful, I really appreciated that. It is good to have customer service before you even enter the establishment. Our server was pleasant, and it didn't take long for our food to come out (very fresh and hot). The spinach was excellent, and the crab egg rolls were delicious. Salmon was really good, pasta wasn't what I expected, it was just fair. Drinks were on point.”

“Love this place! The food is phenomenal, the service is awesome.. especially Chris! 10/10 recommend. Pizza is delicious, Cesar salad is best I’ve ever had. Oh and our kids love it!”

“We had no idea what to expect here and we’re blown away by the food. It tasted fantastic! Red beans and rice and oxtail were the most authentic dishes I’ve had outside Louisiana. Staff is friendly and the environment is very upscale! We can’t wait to come back.”

“I go to this location about every other month and look forward to being greeted by the cheery employees. The employees are delight. This location is also clean and the service is timely. The food is what you expect but it is also hot not warmed. The entertainment I think is the young blonde lady that sit in the corner chatting loudly on her phone - she is alway there when I go - maybe this location is her "work from home" spot or she maybe works there and is on break. Either way I am entertained by her phone conversations.”

“Definitely not a place I would frequent often. The line is always wrapped around the building starting at dinner time. The last time I went the chicken had a 25 minute wait at dinner time which didn't make much since unless they are cooking to order which isn't super smart. The food today was wonderful. I went at late lunch time and my nuggets and sandwich were perfect. Still a lengthy line.”

“It was late night and I was super hungry from work and didn't want to cook. The chicken nuggets were fine, but the fries were piping hot. Super happy for that. The lady /young girl at the drive through was super nice and kind. I wish I got her name.”

“I'm so glad they opened this location. They are so much better than the store on Portsmouth Blvd. The food is always fresh and the store is pretty clean. The customer service could be better though. Overall I'd definitely recommend this location.”

“Very delicious food. Great prices and I've been going to this restaurant for a while and I've never had to wait in line for long. But, for some reason, when I ask for ketchup and mustard on my hot dog, sometimes they forget one or the other. Still, fantastic food, a large menu to choose from, and they give you your money's worth. Hot dog/Chili dog and Cajun Chicken sandwich are divine.”

“Service was good, food was just ok but I don't see a repeat return. Nice Olde town Tavern with great music playing. Floors and base boards dusty, woman's toilet wouldn't flush. Wanted to sit out on patio but smokers had it., it's way to small to allow smokers. But see for yourself, EAT LOCAL.”
