“We visited Sunset Hills somewhat by accident on Thursday 4 April. We were finishng up at a nearby vineyard and checked the Plugshare app to see if any nearby vieyards had EV charging stations. Up pops Sunset Hills eight miles away. We didn't realize until arriving that this vineyard had won a number of gold medals in the 2024 VA Governor's cup.We started off with a taste of the award winning 2020 Reserve Cabernet Franc which could only be described as hard nosed like a young Saint-Estèphe Bordeaux. Our server looked a little panicked and said "you obviously know more about this that I do, let me get my colleague." For the initial round I opted for the Meritage which was considerable softer than the Aabernet Franc. It too was a little young, but opened up nicely after a few minutes.By the time the first round was finished the weather had turned particularly bad. The car was charging and we had nowhere to be for several hours, so why not revist that gold cup winning Cabernet Franc? It turns out that the wine was highly approachable after breathing for a few minutes. In retrospect I wish I had purchased some to take home.“

“The crew at Adroit Theory Brewing Company were freaking amazing! Their customer experience and beer knowledge was absolutely outstanding! The beer also...WOW...the wife and I have never in years had beer as good as they have at their establishment. Metal music and beer in one place is a nirvana for us too and they have found a way to make it happen. BRAVO ZULU GUYS AND YOU DESERVE MORE STARS THAN GOOGLE WILL LET ME GIVE YOU IN THE RATING!“

“Yesterday was my first time at this brewery and I must say the vibes were on point. Most breweries I don’t feel welcome but old 690 staff and customers were very welcoming. I enjoy meeting with the customers and their families.The food was delicious and cooked to perfection.They great live music, the beers are top notch. Their merch is fire and a must buy….. period!!!! They also have an open field and play area for the kids to play and run around. You will NOT be disappointed coming to this brewery. My bartender had nothing but good vibes, just down to earth. He has a special place in my heart.# secret society“

“I’m not sure why I haven’t left a review yet, I’ve been going here for a few years now, but if anyone was to ask me what my favorite restaurant was, I would immediately say Patama! Never have I ever had a bad experience here, they are friendly, quick and courteous. Not to mention the food is delicious. If you like Panang Curry, this is a go to place, it’s flavorful and fabulous! Love having such a great go to spot in Purcellville!“

“I had picked 3 possible places for lunch for our motorcycle ride around Fairfax and Loudoun Countries, and lunch had to be in Purcelville. I am glad I finally went with The Pub. Everything was really good, the food, the service, the coffee ☕!! Coffee was really top notch.It is comforting to know that there are still some restaurants (and Pubs, ha) out there that provide all this good things WITHOUT charging you an arm and a leg like their counterparts in the DC area.Will be definitely coming back!Good job, The Purcelville Pub ??Parking: They were re doing the parking lot, that's the reason why it was tricky to park. It should be done soon, I hope.“

“A nice locally owned, quiet winery with super nice people. They had Easter eggs filled and hidden for the kids, games and picnics out in the sun. Their white wine flight was very good (Voigier, Piebald and steel barrel Chardonnay were the best). One of the owner/operators gave me a glass on the house because they just had some left over, which is always a plus! Would definitely return.“

“A distillery with a unique history that you can learn about on the distillery tour. Point of advice, though: eat before coming here. Whiskeys were good, but slightly one-note. Perhaps it was just the day I visited, but my experience was diminished by an off-putting sewage smell. Still, worth a visit.“

“Awesome view, great selection of IPAs and fresh and great food. In love with this place. We rode there on a bike on our way to Harper's Ferry, but thinking about going there again in the car next time. They also had live music. They had everything for a perfect outing.“

“Anthony’s catered my daughter’s graduation party and the chicken and beef kabobs were a huge hit with everyone! They did such a nice job with the entire spread—kabobs, rice, grilled vegetables and bread! We were thrilled with the quality of the food, exceptional service and more!“

“First time here and will definitely be back. Love the outside, looks like an inn. Inside is bigger than it looks, several rooms plus the Pub downstairs. Service was outstanding, thanks Kandyce. We were in no hurry and not being rushed was great. I had the pork chops that were truly outstanding, flavorful smokey taste. Save room for dessert, priced right at $10 each, I had really good apple strudel. They still owe me bread, which was supposed to be coming soon out of the oven. Would normally ding them a star for that, but everything else more than made up for it.“

“We hired Monks for our son’s birthday party, and Dawn absolutely crushed it! We had an amazing day, and Monks made for an organized, very tasty and fun food experience. We are so grateful to the team who catered that day, will certainly do this again and recommend to all of our friends!“

“We visited on Thurday 4 April 2024. Being a weekday with less than favorable weather there were not a lot of patrons on hand. It looks as if this place could accomodate 100-200 patrons on a day when outdoor seating was available. We started off with the Reserve Chardonnay (oaked) and the estate Chardonnay (un-oaked) These were both enjoyable although we each had our own preference.Moving on, we tierd the Breauxmance or blush sparling wine and the 2019 Meritage, a 2024 VA Governor's Cup Gold winner. It was definitely the highlight of the visit and we brought one home to enjoy later.BTW - the image on one side of the glassware that looks like a prown is supposed to be a crawfish. Apparently the family that owns the vineyard came from Louisiana and the crawfish reminds them of their roots.“
