You know a restaurant is great when it’s packed on a Monday night. Ariake did not disappoint. I had sushi rolls and miso soup. It was a perfect end to a fun, sunny, yet, windy day of visiting the African American Museum and walking around the Tidal Basin viewing the Cherry Blossom Trees.
Ive been there a few times. I really enjoy the food and the staff is close to perfect imo. As always dinner for 2 is between 60 and 100 bucks which is fairly affordable for the quality if sushi and the other dishes. The tofu appetizer was much better than I expected. The tofu literally fell apart ... soft on the inside but with a very nice crust outside. And the sauce was superb! I look forward to my next visit.

This place is excellent! I had been meaning to come for over a year and yesterday it finally happened! My mate and I sat at the bar before the dinner rush started, so it was cool having the place to ourselves for a bit. The Whitefish, Yellowtail, and Burdock were delicious, the Sapporos were nice and cold, and the staff were all very professional and friendly!Definitely recommend
