“Small Wonton soup was quite bland and combo fried rice was ok. I think it was a different cook first time I came here tasted really good when I had lomein. 1 piece of beef was cold in the fried rice. Another piece of beef was too tough and chewy with no flavor. I'll stick to the chicken lomein next time.“

I'd say it's a solid choice if you're nearby or looking for authentic Chinese food in Vienna. While it's not the best Chinese food I've ever had, every dish we ordered was good and the overall meal was enjoyable.

That said, with so many great Chinese restaurants closer to where I live, I probably wouldn't drive all the way to Vienna to have Chef Tan unless I happened to be in the area and is craving Chinese food.“

“First time trying out the restaurant based on recommendation of a friend for Szechuan Beef Noodle Soup. Have to admit, it was very nice balanced taste. It was different - not as bold - from my usual prefer spot in Fair Oak Mall, which closed after Covid. We also tried the beef stripe and had mixed feelings. It wasn't all stripes but mixed with marinated beef, and the dish was good. It just that we preferred all stripes. Our waitress was very helpful and sincere. Good experience. Will come back to try other dishes.“

“I love getting food from here. Even when I am not shopping in Ranch 99 I would go there to get food and grab some groceries while waiting.

The owner is nice and the whole operation is very clean. I’d say it’s cleaner than 95% of the restaurants out there. The owner is one of those “OCD” types lol. When you tell him how much you want for the dry pot (by weight) he would get to that weight to the exact decimal point. I sometimes would tell him it’s ok to miss a bit I am just giving you an estimate. Also he is happy to cater your preference. I love lots of veggies in mine so I’d ask him to put more veggies than meat. He’d gladly to do anything like that.

It’s spicy but I never felt it’s too greasy and the flavor is great! It’s not just done with a sauce pack. You can see fresh garlic pieces in there too.

Definitely a hidden gem. Better than a typical vendor in a Chinese grocery store. I wish all Chinese restaurants can be run with this caliber.“

“The food great, better then others, it was hot fresh and delicious, I had the chicken with mix vegetables. And it came with a egg roll. Long time since I has a delicious egg roll. Place was clean. “Our Monday night dinner group has come back here multiple times. The smell is wonderful immediately when you walk in. The host and all staff there are super friendly and always fun to chat with. Our waiter had our whole table laughing every time we engaged with him. Everyone's orders were perfectly cooked, nice sized portions and came out very quickly. I personally love the Malaysian Iced Coffee, Roti Canai and Chicken Satay. Our group had noodle dishes, beef, lamb, seafood....all was wonderful. “This place is incredible. I am not aware of any other luosifen noodle house in the area. If you, like me, are a newcomer to this style of noodle soup, you are going to be extremely impressed. The bone broth is bracing, complex, and flavorful, far richer and deeper than pho or tonkotsu. Recommend getting it spicy: it brings all the flavors together without being overwhelming. Additionally, the Sichuan menu is one of the best in the area, second only to Mama Chang's and Hong Kong Palace. This place is pretty new and trying to get its feet underneath it. Service on point, food hot tasty & clean tasting flavors. A gem in our community. Owners are very nice, I witnessed her once bring a fry pan out for customer to try sauce & she thought was too spicy so owner asked what she liked & invented her a new dish, and put it in computer so she could order it again. “My neice wanted to go to her favorite place for her 18th bday, so my sister called the Chin Chin Cafe and they said no problem. They had reserved tables when I arrived so I could decorate. Raymond was the MOD and was very helpful. We also had great customer service from the 3 employees working that night, it could not have gone any smoother! The timing of the food coming out was perfect!! Everything from the appetizers to the sushi to the main course dishes were delicious and plentiful. All our guests, especially the bday girl, were very happy. if you have not tried them yet, do yourself a favor and do so. Found China Goirmet on a whim search and it exceeded our expectations!! The potstickers were tender, flavorful and mouth watering! The moo shi pork and the crispy crunchy beef were over the top wonderful! The prices were very reasonable and they even had bar service with extremely reasonable prices. Service was extremely attentive without being over bearing. We can’t wait to come back and try something different!! Well done!!!“

“This is a chain that has locations all over New York. I'm glad there is a location close to me. It's my go to for sauerkraut fish soup.

They also have a secret menu for Fuzhou cuisine like peanut noodles, Fuzhou wontons and meatball soup that are pretty close to what I remember from Fuzhou.“
