The food is truly amazing and service is generally warm and good, but both times I've had hiccups. The first time my latte wasn't ready until 20 min after we finished eating (we literally had to stay and wait for it). Then today I ordered the shakshuka and asked for sourdough, as the menu literally you get your choice of sourdough or challah bread. I was told upon ordering that it only came with challah. I pointed out that the menu offered my choice of either, and asked if they had sourdough in stock. I was told that they do have sourdough, but they couldn't (wouldn't) give it to me unless I ordered it separately. I even showed the menu to the manager and she apologized for the hiccup on the menu, but still did not offer to give me sourdough bread. I spent over a decade working in customer service, and this was the easiest fix to honor what they had on their menu. Unfortunately they totally failed to execute thoughtful and appropriate customer service.

Of all the locations of Tatte, this is by far, the worst which is such a bummer because we were all so excited for it to come. Staff acts like children, super condescending and just rude. Literally won’t do anything. It’s like they’re fully doing you a favor. Don’t recommend. Go to Ted’s.

I ordered a matcha latte and a salmon breakfast sandwich, which was really good! The service was great and I quickly got my food after ordering. The atmosphere is also very cute and relaxing, I’d definitely come back to try the pastries next time?

- Love their flavored coffee & is the reason I go back for sure.- Breakfast dishes are super oily which is a bad combination for how tall the breakfast sandwhiches are. It all falls apart and I feel like I need to wash my face to get the grease off afterwards. This seems easily fixable --I hope they do. The ingredients are good, the execution needs help.- Haven't had the pastries that folks are mentioning.Really super hoping it gets better over time. A lot of potential if they take the time and patience to really hear and act on feedback.

We went on a busy Sunday morning and the place was probably short staffed. Tables were available but not cleaned and cleared for a long time. Many servers went past without offering to assist a party with two kids. Food is pretty, pretty bland.

Great atmosphere, super nice barista and other staff, but very bad coffee. No matter what you do the beans roasted to taste rusty caffeinated water. I feel I want to vomit. They need to visit Starbucks and ask for espresso to know how it tastes. Medium roast is not coffee and anyone uses it for espresso should stop. You can use it for those who drink “things” with caffeine mixed with “things” and they will like any coffee. If it happens you never tasted coffee then buy Peet’s Dark Roast coffee and just use it.

The bourgeoisie of Reston are flocking to this new spiffy café. I've knocked one star off for high prices, but pastry & patisserie selection and quality are excellent, and coffee options are properly made. All the classics. If you prefer salty to sweet, some nice light carb-y lunch options are also available. If you aren't requiring a giant silly iced Starbucks-style sugar bomb, and want a more refined beverage hang, this is the place. It gets quite busy midday, proving they have found a niche in dire need of their services and vibes.

Horrible. Got basic orders wrong and what they had as ‘cheesecake’ was more like some cream and fruit mushed together for $7. Threw it all away

I tried this Cafe for the first time on 3/12/24. I was in the area, so I stopped by for a coffee. I ended up getting the TATTE HOUSELATTE(iced). It was different from what I usually get at coffee shops, but still really good. I did not try pastries or other food, but it all looked good. Next time I am in the area, I will try some food and report back, but until then, I say this is a must-try if you visit or live in the area.Vegetarian options: Coffee is for everyone.Parking: There is paid street parking.Wheelchair accessibility: This is a wheelchair friendly cafe.

Tatte Bakery doesn’t disappoint at all. Great service, great food and a vibrant environment. I have tried their Arlington location and now Reston location. I highly recommend.

I ordered the sundried tomatoe and feta scone. As I bit down into the scone and chewed, I had bits of what looked like pices of small tiny stones in my mouth. What this means is that someone who baked this was not careful or just did not care on which customer it would harm. Before this happened, I have ordered a couple of their oatmeal & walnut cookies. One of the cookies tasted fresh while the other was stale. Then comes the customer service, while already in a line of three people, (me being the third), I was up next and a male who was dressed differently, more than likely the manager, took someone who was not even in line. The man with a long sleeved light blue shirt, (Possibly the manager), looked at me and told me that the cashier, already helping someone, will take my order. Unprofessional and no apology. So from the other reviews I have read I am in agreement with their food preperations, the cost and their unprofessionalism.Tatte may want to consider minimizing thier food choices to better help them in food preperations and to keep up with what has expired. They do have many items and it can be quite overwhelming.I would also advice that if you care about your teeth, that we spend so much money on, be very careful going in this place. At this point Panera's is the best option.
