We headed to the restaurant, but when we got there the owner explained that the restaurant had just closed for the evening. He gave us a few recommendations on other places to eat, and we started to search for an Uber. A few minutes later, the owner, Tysean, opened the door and offered to go back in the kitchen and cook something for us. We couldn’t pass that offer up. We waited for a few minutes, and he brought us out some of the best chicken I’ve eaten in a long time along with some, nicely seasoned potato wedges and hot buttery honey biscuits. Along with some honey mustard dipping sauce and sweet tea to wash it all down, we had an amazing meal. I’ll definitely be back, and you should visit if you are in Richmond.“
“Great visit! I came for happy hour with some colleagues. The happy hour menu has some great deals. We got fries for eh while table. I ordered beef & chicken empanadas and the karaoke kool aid. Good drinks & great service. Got busy towards end for jazz night and our server for a little overwhelmed, but was still sweet and friendly! As for the vibe, I love all the photos around the place. There's a little stage on the side, not just for jazz night but apparently they hold events almost every night. Once it started getting dark out, it seemed more like an intimate jazz club with low, blue lights and table side lights & candles. I love love the Cajun fried rice and catfish sliders (no tartar, add lettuce, remoulade sauce on the side) and had been looking forward to those for a week.
