Padow's Hams and Deli

This place sells meat first and sandwiches second-- you can taste the quality of the meat no matter what sandwich you get. I got the Sailor (pastrami and knockwurst on rye), and it was one of the better sandwiches I've had in the city. The wait was a bit long even with no line (about 10 minutes), and for $8 I would hope for maybe a bag of chips, but the sandwich itself was excellent and a good lunch portion. One of my favorite sandwich places . Use to go all the time because I lived so close. Friendly staff .. and good sandwiches and sides (pasta and macaroni salad) I would recommend if your in the area and want a good little sandwich to hold you over.

I tried Padow's for the first time today - there are lots of options for lunch around the area, and nothing about Padow's really got my attention immediately, so I decided to just try them out, and ordered a turkey pastrami reuben. The woman working the register was friendly and offered to let me try samples of the turkey - that was appreciated, and the turkey tasted good!
