Reviews for Perly's

First off, the matzo ball soup was out of this world! Corned beef knish was ok-tasted mainly of potato, and not the corned beef that was also in there. Veal schnitzel and corned beef hash were excellent. The service was slooooooow. It took about 20 minutes to get our appetizers, and then the entrees came out about five minutes later. Seeing that the restaurant was at half capacity due to Covid, it seemed a bit long. My coffee never got refilled, and when I asked for more the full review

Food is out of this world. Breakfast was amazing - seen here the Benny Goodman, french toast with apples & pecans & corned beef hash. Food came out quickly. Love that there's a deli and bar here also. They were busy, so coffee refill and bill pickup a little slow, but understand staffing is tough. We are visiting from Grand Rapids, Michigan and wish we had a Perly's there. Planning to return for other meals during our trip.

Overall, this was the best meal I had in Richmond. The wait to get a seat is well worth it. I would recommend this place to anyone - get the Shapiro Schnitzel! To start: -Cup of Borscht: beet soup, $3.00, so good! -Potato Latkes: two latkes with chive sour cream and applesauce, this was actually my least favorite thing we ordered (which is surprising I know). Don't get me wrong, they were still good with little pieces of salt on top, but I expected more from them? Also, I full review
