Today was my first time eating at the Village Cafe, and it was a stunning experience. The Rockfish and Chips were delicious, and I had no complaints about my meal. I also tried the iced tea, which was really good. The seating on the deck had a stunning view, and the waiters were very nice. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at the Village Cafe today, and I will definitely be back.

Village Cafe is a popular spot for breakfast and other meals, known for its quaint atmosphere. The Lorraine omelet remains a tasty choice with a generous portion size. The menu features a variety of options, including nachos, ham and cheese croissant, loaded fries, and a delicious chocolate peanut butter milkshake. Fans of crispy fries will enjoy the club sandwich and country fried steak with sausage gravy as well. The inviting atmosphere is complemented by friendly staff, with some customers highlighting the exceptional service. While many enjoy the food, some find it just okay and mention the lack of special offerings like real butter. The cafe is also praised for its traditional diner food, particularly the rotating soups, mozzarella balls, and pancakes. The mimosas are a hit when made by the friendly staff. Despite mixed reviews about the food and some complaints regarding prices, Village Cafe remains a true Richmond staple, known for amazing breakfast options like pizza fries and buffalo chicken wraps. Conveniently located near VCU, it offers a great place to dine, although parking can be challenging.
