One of the very best restaurants in Roanoke to me now, even after many years living here, this little place tucked away in Grandin Village eluded me.Their mixed Shawarma is amazing, their falafel and hummas is great, I have yet to be disappointed by anything they have served me. It is a very flavorful cuisine very faithfully prepared.Vegetarian options: Falafel, hummas, grape leaves, many vegetarion options.
I've been to 13 different countries in my time in the service and let me tell you the one thing we all miss. The food. But my need for authentic gyros is slightly edged with Falafel house. The ingredients may not be as fresh or genuine as they are over seas but they nail the taste pretty close. The atmosphere really brought me back as well. Super friendly, homely even as sometimes you can see (I think the owners) daughter doing school work while waiting for dad to close up. It's just got that mom and pop feel from so long ago that you just don't get anymore.I rate it 10 nostalgia out of 10

The best Mediterranean food in town. Possibly even this side of the state. The owner clearly cares about the quality of both taste and presentation. Goes at his own pace and is a super authentic guy. You come here for amazing food, not a cushy experience. Be prepared for squeaky booths, no small talk, and the absolute best shawarma you've probably had in a long time.

Everything is always top notch fresh, tasty and artfully done. One just needs to not mind that the setup is very simple. Also, patience is a must due to the 1 - 2 person staff, which includes a no-nonsense guy that comes across gruff.Just keep calm, speak clearly, add a friendly smile, and then wait. He knows what he's doing. The restroom has been consistently clean. Although very basic, there is also an option to sit and eat outside that fits two people, which arguably brought them just barely above 2 stars in "Atmosphere."
The experience was fantastic. The cuisine was not only delicious but also halal. Their generosity was evident when they gave us free falafel while we waited for our meal to be prepared.

Picked up gyros today and the older man with glasses and a beard was pretty rude and condescending. I could get gyros at NU Deli that are just as good with no nasty attitude.

The food is fantastic. Hummus and falafel were super fresh. Gyro was great according to spouse. The baklava was probably the best I’ve had - and I’ve had a lot. I could really eat a whole sheet of it. Owner is just direct. I did not find him rude. He was friendly, though. Service was good. Place is an old building, but booths and bathrooms were extra clean. Hard to do when working with older places. I highly recommend trying the food.Vegetarian options: Much of the menu is vegetarian. There is a mix.Parking: It was Saturday and we had plenty of spots to choose from.

Stopped by on my drive up to New Jersey and was so glad I had the opportunity to enjoy the food here. I have to say this is the most authentic Palestinian food in the region. I have told my family living near to go and grab a bite here and will recommend it to anyone looking for quality Mediterranean cuisine. They also gave me a sider of Falafel to try out and its out of this world. Thank you Habibi ☝️❤️

this place deserves a Michelin star. I eat as much falafel as I can get my greedy little hands on and this is the best I've ever had with no contest. I would take the beef shawerma over any steak I've had in my life any day. Every vegetable was not only extraordinarily high quality but fresh and treated with care and love. I can tell the pickles were made in house as well. It has very genuinely been years since I have been so pleasantly surprised and humbled by a dining experience. Cannot go wrong with any of the pastries. The owner made me feel like I was at home and my uncle was proudly showing me a meal he spent all day preparing for my visit. If you have a bad experience with him I would hesitate to blame it on him. Such a humble man and one of the best chefs in the tricounty area. Presentation was gorgeous and prices could be double and I'd still feel like I got a good deal.
