The server remembered me from Ike’s old location and made sure my food was vegan. Very tasty food and laid-back atmosphere. I recommend edamame to start, a vegan version of Yakisoba, and vegan mochi.Vegetarian options: I’m vegan, and I order the yakisoba with tofu. The staff is very helpful and accomodating. They also have several flavors of vegan mochi that are delicious. .Dietary restrictions: Will accommodate vegans and vegetarians.

If you look at any of my other reviews, I can be a little cutthroat… but I have not a single negative thing to say about this place. I moved to Roanoke about a year ago and have since been struggling to find good restaurants. Ike’s is by far the best in terms of flavor, quality, and value I’ve encountered thus far. The service was quick and friendly. I would reorder everything we got time and time again. I can’t wait to try more of their menu items!! Ike’s is an absolute blessing on Roanoke. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Ike's Kitchen was one of the best places ever during the pandemic and their return is nothing to scoff at. Yes, the wait times are a lot longer but the food is just as good. Authentic Japanese food at a fraction of the price of other places makes it so so worth it to make the drive across town. Favorite thing on the menu is the Onigiri and the fried chicken!

Still delicious. See how much I enjoyed it the other night. Twice in a week. I hardly ever do that. This time I tried the yaki soba. Was disappointed by the portion size but it was good. The ramen was excellent.

I'm so happy they decided to reopen at a new location. The ramen noodles are just delicious. I always get the spicy ramen and we can't pass up the karage. The wait staff is always friendly and on the move. The new location is about twice the size as the original and always packed when I go inside. Can't wait to see what they do with the closed off bar area.

Staff is all so kind and helpful, and the food is great! We always have an amazing experience when we come here. A lot of people get to go orders here, but I definitely recommend coming in to sit down if you have the time. It's a small space but it's very cozy and I guarantee you'll have a good time.

Quaint place to enjoy really good Japanese foods. I came here for the ramen. Tonkatsu is what I ordered with an extra Ajitama (egg). They open at 12 and by 12:10 they are almost full. Now to have 1 server poses challenges for great service when there's 11 tables to serve, but the server did her best and was able to provide solid basic service (which many will be ok with).The Ramen was basic but Great! Simplicity works!! The noodles were perfectly cooked, the Chashu was simple but beautifully done, tender and flavorful. The broth, was rich and creamy and seasoned perfectly. The Ajitamas were great (might enjoy a little longer marinate time, but still really good). Overall I'm definitely coming back to try more.
Great food and quality service. Once our orders were taken it didn't take long for our food to come out, there were quite a good amount of people coming in too. The atmosphere it pretty good, but could use a little renovation. The only complaint is that I didn't get any water at the end while we were waiting for the check. Ike's Kitchen was where my partner & I fell in love over the course of several Sunday dates. This was 2 years ago. It broke my heart when they shut down, but clearly they went away to come back stronger!This is the most exceptional taste experience in my entire Roanoke history.I've been to 135 restaurants in my 11yrs in the Roanoke region, and this, by far, has been the best food I have ever tasted. How anyone can think there is an asian restaurant that comes close is beyond me. I love the Tantanmen ramen so much, I have random cravings for it.I brought my father to Ike's recently. He said the food was so good, he could have cried. Before we left, we said "you know the food is exceptional when it is all you can talk about through the entire meal".The service is also remarkably swift, it's surreal! The turnaround time makes other restaurants seem a joke. The staff are professional, knowledgeable, devoted and loving. The limited hours only add to the appeal. I know of a few people who camp outside up to half an hour before to be sure they get a table at opening.This restaurant is 10/10. I don't know how you do it, but I hope you stick around forever.
