If you look at any of my other reviews, I can be a little cutthroat… but I have not a single negative thing to say about this place. I moved to Roanoke about a year ago and have since been struggling to find good restaurants. Ike’s is by far the best in terms of flavor, quality, and value I’ve encountered thus far. Ike's Kitchen was one of the best places ever during the pandemic and their return is nothing to scoff at. Yes, the wait times are a lot longer but the food is just as good. Authentic Japanese food at a fraction of the price of other places makes it so so worth it to make the drive across town. Favorite thing on the menu is the Onigiri and the fried chicken!

The server remembered me from Ike’s old location and made sure my food was vegan. Very tasty food and laid-back atmosphere. I recommend edamame to start, a vegan version of Yakisoba, and vegan mochi.Vegetarian options: I’m vegan, and I order the yakisoba with tofu. The staff is very helpful and accomodating.
