Awesome spot, food was delicious, staff was pretty dang cool, I can see why this place has been open for over 90 years. Prices were unbelievable. Enjoyed hearing the locals order. Ignore all the negative reviews you might read, the sensitive sallies should've stayed home.

To me this is the kinda place that makes a southern town. The chili dog was the best I've had. Western burger was pretty dang good too. Prices are beyond fair. And not only did they give my dog a free hotdog, they threw an extra one in my takeout bag for him. Ive never been here before but I will stop EVERY time I pass through now, including on my way back home next week.I appreciate good people, good prices, and good food. Getting all 3 is rare these days (or atleast where I'm from) thanks fellas!!

We stop every time we're in town. Obviously an institution; the locals told us it's "TTs". Fast, incredibly inexpensive, open 24 hours. Always delicious.Vegetarian options: Plenty of egg sandwich options.

It was National Chili Day and I know this spot well. The whole Crew went there for lunch.
Theres a sign at the entrance of Smith Mountain Lake for the Texas Tavern. It says it's open 24 hours a day & it's Roanoke's Millionaires Club. So if you're from Dallas and you remember the Dallas Millionaires Club, you just assume the Texas Tavern is a strip club! Well, it's a diner with 10 seats that only takes cash & been open since 1930!They have a very specific language for the very limited menu but today I just had the cheeseburger which is super yummy! ? It's a great old school place that's definitely worth a stop if you are in Roanoke.

Hole in the wall diner with about 10 bar stools and room for only 8. We loved it, the gentlemen were super friendly, food was great, and the prices are the best part. Cash only!
