“am thrilled to finally share my long-overdue review of my visit to Bogati Winery last year. It was my first time there, despite driving by countless times. I had always hesitated to stop because it's located off the highway, and I am quite selective when it comes to wineries. However, I was in for a delightful surprise!Upon entering, I was immediately captivated by the inviting interior, complete with a charming fireplace perfect for cozying up with friends or loved ones. The back of the winery faced a serene pond, offering a calming view that was not as noisy as I had anticipated.During our tasting at the bar, Jim, our host, was absolutely fantastic! Despite being the only staff member present, he ensured that everyone had an incredible time. The price of $15 for 7 wines was incredibly reasonable, especially considering the quality of the wines. My personal favorites were the bold Fat A$$ Red and the exquisite Malbec.One small suggestion for management - please consider changing the system that allows customers to add tips to their bills. Jim truly deserved every bit of praise!I am excited to share that I have now visited all three of Jim Bogaty's wineries. In conclusion, never judge a book by its cover - Bogati Winery is definitely worth a visit!Cheers to unforgettable wine experiences!“

“Perfect Gem in Round Hill. A great addition to our Wine Cluster here and the wine is very good. The owners are building tasting rooms and the building where they are hosting the opening of this vineyard/winery will become the event venue building. Done with style and charm. “We hosted a small “wedding debrief” with close family and friends at Three Creeks the Sunday of our wedding weekend. They have a gathering room below the tasting room that was perfect for our group of 30. P-J is incredibly accommodating and their wine, of course, is delicious! We loved getting to incorporate one of our favorite wineries near Leesburg into the weekend.“

“Willowcroft is the most quaint, unassuming wineries in the area. They have a great variety of wine which are very unique in my opinion. For example, I don't normally like a steeled Chardonnay, but I love theirs and how refreshing it is. Same goes with their Riesling.One of the most surprising aspects of this winery, though, is the gorgeous view!“

“Went in during the week and had a wonderful experience. We did a tasting and enjoyed all 4 wines very much. Each was unique and described perfectly. Since it was a week day we were allowed to bring in food, although the food they have to offer on the weekends looks great! They have a nice display of chocolates from Conche in Leesburg. There is plenty of space inside and out but we chose the seats by the indoor fireplace and it was perfect!“

“My husband I visited Casanel as part of our Anniversary weekend in December. It was our first visit to Casanel Winery and we really enjoyed the experience. Theresa and her team were fantastic! We had a lovely tasting of good wines, enjoyed a glass of wine by the fire and toured the facility. There are patios to enjoy the beautiful scenery and the tasting room is spacious and a great event space. We can't wait to return!“

“I loved this vineyard. The service was amazing. The manager was so sweet. The ambiance is cute. I also actually really enjoyed the wine flights. At first glance I thought the truffle flight was expensive for a small box of chocolate BUT I really enjoyed the chocolate and the wine so I would recommend. I also tried the sweet flight which was equally as good for a great price.“

“We visited Sunset Hills somewhat by accident on Thursday 4 April. We were finishng up at a nearby vineyard and checked the Plugshare app to see if any nearby vieyards had EV charging stations. Up pops Sunset Hills eight miles away. We didn't realize until arriving that this vineyard had won a number of gold medals in the 2024 VA Governor's cup.We started off with a taste of the award winning 2020 Reserve Cabernet Franc which could only be described as hard nosed like a young Saint-Estèphe Bordeaux. Our server looked a little panicked and said "you obviously know more about this that I do, let me get my colleague." For the initial round I opted for the Meritage which was considerable softer than the Aabernet Franc. It too was a little young, but opened up nicely after a few minutes.By the time the first round was finished the weather had turned particularly bad. The car was charging and we had nowhere to be for several hours, so why not revist that gold cup winning Cabernet Franc? It turns out that the wine was highly approachable after breathing for a few minutes. In retrospect I wish I had purchased some to take home.“

“Great experience at Otium Cellars! The chef featured a corn chowder with a three cheese melt , and it was so delicious. The Cabernet was excellent as well! Just a lovely afternoon relaxing on the patio with great live jazz and a beautiful view. We love to send our guests to Otium!“

“It was a wonderful experience hearing directly from the maker himself as we tasted glasses of meade and wine. Each was delicious. I loved that you could taste the peach in the peach wine. Colonel was delightful. We bought a couple bottles and will be back for more. Call to set up an appointment for your tasting.“
