I don't even know what to say! I have never had a sub that was more fresh in my life! I am so happy to have found Papa's. I ordered a chicken cheesesteak and I was absolutely thrilled that it had fresh, Al dente peppers, mushrooms, and onions...not to mention the huge chunks of grilled chicken (not the chicken with fake scorch marks but actual chicken breast!). As a NJ/NY transplant I can honestly say that the Pizza at Papa's is as close to NYC style pizza that can be found around the Salem/Roanoke area. The smell of fresh pizza captures you as soon as you walk in the door. The regular pie is well made with a proper sauce to cheese ratio. The Grandma's pie offers the tastes of home cooking with the right combination of pesto, cheese, olive oil and properly made and seasoned pizza dough, superb! Got a take-out Supreme pizza and wings. My husband loved the pizza, it was pretty sturdy with all of the toppings, good crust, and floppy towards the center. Now I'm not a floppy pizza girly and I'm still on the search for a good thin crust but I did devour all the leftovers in the fridge once the pizza fully hardened up.
