Not your average fast food barbecue, this is the real thing... good, tasty, and the best smoked flavor! Right across from the airport, easy to get to..... Will be back often!”

“I’ve been wanting to check this place out for awhile. We stopped by this past Friday night to grab dessert on the way home after having dinner in shockoe bottom. Felt welcome as soon as we walked in. I could see this is a spot locals love. I let her know my son only wanted dessert and she didn’t hesitate to recommend Momma Doc’s. He ended up ordering the brownie sundae. Let me tell you, it must’ve been delicious cause he scarfed it down like he hadn’t eaten all night 😂. We will definitely be back. The menu was extensive, and the vibe was chill.”

“I have been a patron of this establishment for over 30 years and in all that time I have never been asked to pay a gratuity fee. I have had birthday parties , baby showers and rehearsal dinner. I realize there was six in my party. Paying by two different checks. The owner whom my kids played with growing up tells me its on the menu that the its up to the server degression to use it or not. You know where it is on the menu???? All the way down at the bottom paste the food items. In smaller print. Sad to say I will no longer be a customer here thanks to the sever Miranda”

“We stopped in on our way through Richmond for lunch. It's a cute little local spot, lots of families and friendly faces. The staff was kind, and our food was served promptly. My husband enjoyed his veggie burger, and I loved my cheeseburger and cappucino ice cream.”

“Nice new gas station in the area. Getting in and out of the parking lot is less than ideal and not large vehicle or trailer friendly just FYI. But the building and lot are well maintained and clean”

“We ate at the Mechanicsville location on our way home from out of state. I always order a chimichanga every time I have Mexican, which is often. I ordered one today with ground beef. When it was brought out to me it looked like a taquito ( a 1/3 of the size). A manager came over and was not happy when I told him that. He said that was their normal size chimi’s. To top it all off when I took my first bite It was shredded beef instead of ground beef. I put do NOT RECOMMEND and do not know what happened and now I cannot change it!!!!!!’”

“This was my first time staying at this hotel, and despite its proximity to the airport, is very quiet inside and out. The room I had was impeccably clean, comfortable, with everything in sound working order. The room furnishings were great, and I really liked the bedside connectively, including conventional power outlets and USB ports on both sides of the bed. I did place an order at the Bistro, the in-house restaurant. And the food I ordered was excellent. The location is nice enough, and within walking distances to several restaurants. However, the only parking lot entrances are the two street sides ones off of Williamsburg Road, and there isn't one that is off the road that leads to a couple other hotels. It would be nice if there was. It's just a minor quibble though. As for the hotel staff, they were courteous and helpful. Overall, I was impressed with the hotel, and can see myself staying here again in the future.”

“I went over there Monday, the food was cold and people was yelling in the back. I understand it is night time but its not a reason to not be professional. The cashier (mikera) and a girl through the drive thru was really rude to me like its not their fault if the food was cold and my order was wrong. After waiting almost 30 min a girl helped me with my order and she was the only one with a good energy, she apologized almost 5 times and got my order did again. She was the the person yelling the name(katherine). Yall need to review yall team and get the teenagers to actually do what they supposed to do. The manager was not even here.”

“I had a surprisingly great experience at this Burger King. While the surrounding neighborhood and the exterior of the building look a bit run down, don’t let that discourage you from stopping in. The inside was clean, well-maintained, and much more inviting than I expected.

The staff was friendly, welcoming, and provided excellent customer service. My order was prepared quickly, and the food was fresh, hot, and tasted great. It’s clear that the employees take pride in keeping the restaurant clean and making sure customers have a positive experience.

Overall, this location exceeded my expectations, and I would definitely return when I’m in the area. Great job to the team!”

“Well researched food, solidly composed cocktails, and a warm interior make The Roosevelt one of the most talked about restaurants in RVA currently. Chef Leah is as much a researcher as she is a good chef. Being a long time food writer who has been on assignment in many kitchens, its no surprise to me that Leah has carved out a reputation for herself in Richmond recently. She sources a lot from local farmers, adheres often to seasonal common sense, and takes inspiration from her reading and research on Soul Food, Southern food, and Virginia food. I wouldn't classify prices at The Roosevelt as cheap but also wouldn't classify them as extravagant either. Marketed by many as a "neighborhood spot" I always see The Roosevelt as a great date night spot, particularly for those who might fancy themselves foodies. Congrats to Leah and The Roosevelt on their recent James Beard nod. In my opinion, well deserved.”

“Sub Rosa is THE bakery in Richmond! I live about 2 hours away and always make sure I stop by when I’m passing by. It’s about half a mile off the highway, so it’s easy. There’s no parking lot, so finding parking can be an issue, but don’t let that discourage you!

The bread and baked goods are as close to being in Europe as I’ve found (I lived abroad for 8 years). Crusts are light, flaky and leave a little butter on your lips. Everything is fresh and full of flavor. Staff is always friendly and welcoming.

They serve and sell both Recluse and Afterglow coffee - both are excellent local beans.

“I have been twice now and both times the food was great. The view is outside is gorgeous btw. Now as for the food the menu is a variety of dishes themed from different parts of the world. It honestly doesn’t matter what you get it’s going to be delicious. If it’s on the menu when you go I highly recommend the Georgian flatbread, the bao buns, the chorreadas, or the cachapas!”

“Absolutely phenomenal experience at CHIC’N CRAVE in Petersburg! I placed a large order just 30 minutes before closing—four chicken sandwiches, a 20-piece chicken tender meal, and their amazing honey biscuits—and everything was fresh, hot, and made to order. That kind of care and quality, especially so close to closing time, really impressed me. The food? Top-tier. The chicken sandwiches were perfectly crispy and flavorful, and the tenders were juicy with a golden crunch. But the honey biscuits stole the show—soft, buttery, and just the right touch of sweetness. What really stood out, though, was the service. The owner personally greeted me with a warm welcome, and you could tell they genuinely care about their customers. It’s rare to find that kind of hospitality and pride in both food and service. “The best experience ever, The service was amazing but the food left us speechless. Came to dinner with dear friends that are all great cooks and we were awed by the flavors, presentation and dimensions of flavor. The seafood pasta was not only bountiful with fresh catches from the sea but the homemade pasta and sauce were divine. We were blessed that the chef came to the table to introduce himself; and although soft spoken, you could tell the pride he took in his craft. Highly recommend this new restaurant!
