“First time here on a Friday night. We had reservations that were mixed up. Even though the restaurant was expected to be full they accommodated the 6 of us. The owner came over to greet us. I told him that this was my first visit. (Everyone else had been several times) Oh then he proceeded to bring bite size samples for me to try. He then offered up suggestions as to what I need to have for an appetizer, main course and even dessert. Food bursts with flavor. But the real experience here was the service. First class. Thank you all for the dining experience.”

From the time I make reservations through walking through the front door of the restaurant, the service, the managers, the chef, the food, to serving the BEST ITALIAN CUISINE SINCE ITALY, and cleanliness in the restrooms. Look, I live in Old Town Alexandria, VA, where there are some of the best Italian restaurants on the East Coast but those restaurants do not compare to my Maggiano’s. I seriously have to drive out of my way, Springfield, to get the Best Italian on the East Coast. It’s worth every second. The cuisine inside this Maggiano’s tastes exactly like my Italian grandparent’s cooked it. I frequent this restaurant at least once or twice a week. “I recently visited Makchang Dodok K-BBQ, and it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive. They made us feel right at home, walking us through the menu and offering helpful suggestions for first-timers. You can tell they really care about creating a great experience for their guests.
The service was fast and efficient without feeling rushed. Our server kept checking in to make sure everything was cooked to our liking and that our drinks and side dishes were always full. It’s rare to find such a friendly and professional team at a busy restaurant, and they truly stood out.
As for the food—delicious! The meats were fresh and flavorful, and the signature makchang (beef or pork intestine) was perfectly prepared with that satisfying char. If you’re a fan of authentic Korean BBQ, this place delivers both in taste and atmosphere.
Highly recommend for a casual night out, a group dinner, or anyone looking to try something new with excellent service to match. I’ll definitely be coming back!”

“Yesterday was my 1st time visiting VA Kabob House here in Springfield. Being a fan of Afghan cuisine, I had to stop by as soon as possible. Their $11.99 Chicken Kabob Lunch Special advertised on the window had me drop everything I was doing at the moment, just to walk in and try their food out...and let me tell you....Their food is seasoned and flavored to perfection. Staff is very friendly and upon placing your order, you are offered a complementary plate of their chicken soup which is made from scratch..I ended up placing a side order of the soup and I finished everything on my plate in one sitting; kabob, rice, salad, chick peas, bread and all. I'm here again today ordering the same thing as I'm typing this review. I highly recommend VA Kabob House in Springfield, Virginia. anytime you are hungry, especially lunchtime...
One more thing....I don't really care for soup, but their chicken soup is really damn good and I'm not sure if other Kabob spots have their own soup, but VA Kabob House's soup alone is worth the visit, and is quickly becoming one of my favorite Kabob spots in all of Northern VA.”

Tiramisu shines best with its classic balance of espresso, mascarpone, and a hint of cocoa. I believe many guests would appreciate it more in a more traditional form. Unfortunately it was served with tomatoes, but Geraldine apologized and quickly replaced it with no tomatoes. We also tried the raspberry cola inglesa (yum) and flancocho - a chocolate / vanilla-ish (?) cake that was delicious. The prices seemed a bit high, but the food and menu seemed very authentic. 100% Peruvian according to them... Our bill said "Hot and cold" so maybe it's their partner?”

"Where everybody knows your name and they're always glad you came." Just add terrific live music, great acoustics, and the best dance floor around! Truly impressive across the board - friendly, welcoming and FUN. Pete, Kelly and their team are true professionals; they love their work and make sure everyone feels welcome. Pete personally goes from table to table - when he's not joining the band/playing guitar! Kelly is wonderful, kind, warm, and consistently books the BEST bands around. Bartender Bo is indeed "super cool" and funny. Servers Mario and Andrea are helpful, attentive, efficient, and keep everyone very well-fed. Chef Pete (different one) regularly impresses with tasty appetizers, entrees, salads (Greek is a fave), desserts, and more. More than worth a visit - keep going back! I'm proud to be a regular (OK - groupie/super-fan) and my nights at Pete's are true weekend highlights. Thanks to everyone at Pete's for providing night after night of great food, music, and community! I ordered the Philly cheesesteak with no hot peppers or tomatoes with a side of onion rings. The sandwich was average, but the onions were cooked nice. The breading on the onion rings were a bit much.
My husband ordered Miami Nice and he said it was very good- tender chicken, lots of flavor.
I also got their lemonade and fresh baked cookies. Both were quite good.
The staff was nice and we did not feel rushed to ordered quickly as it took some time to review the menu.
We opted to do carry out, but they do have a good size seating area.”

"Where everybody knows your name and they're always glad you came." Just add terrific live music, great acoustics, and the best dance floor around! Truly impressive across the board - friendly, welcoming and FUN. Pete, Kelly and their team are true professionals; they love their work and make sure everyone feels welcome. Pete personally goes from table to table - when he's not joining the band/playing guitar! Kelly is wonderful, kind, warm, and consistently books the BEST bands around. Bartender Bo is indeed "super cool" and funny. Servers Mario and Andrea are helpful, attentive, efficient, and keep everyone very well-fed. Chef Pete (different one) regularly impresses with tasty appetizers, entrees, salads (Greek is a fave), desserts, and more. More than worth a visit - keep going back! I'm proud to be a regular (OK - groupie/super-fan) and my nights at Pete's are true weekend highlights. Thanks to everyone at Pete's for providing night after night of great food, music, and community!
