So. Dang. Good. We were recommended Pickle & Ash by a friend who regularly drives through and were definitely impressed. The food and dessert were fantastic! Not to mention the great drink list. Would gladly stop by again.

I live in Buford Georgia and each time I am in Virginia I always try to get by and visit this establishment. The owners try to use local produce and meats. The salads are my favorite. In fact all I have ever ordered was a salad. However my friends always venture farther down the menu and no one has ever complained about anything we ordered. All the food including desserts are made on site.The cocktails are unique in my opinion. The staff is friendly and professional. My favorite server is Julie. She has been working each time we have been dining. When leaving check out the items for sale. I bet you find something to take home. Where I am from it is very difficult finding an establishment like this. We may have them but I haven't found them. So I go out of my way to make this restaurant a stop when in Virginia, the food is worth it. Hope you enjoy it as much as I always do.

The wood fired chicken (and really everything we have had from the grill from our past 10 times we have visited is superb! The shrimp and grits were the perfect amount of spice this evening and were one of the best I have ever tasted. The cornbread ruined me for life…the best I have ever had! The deserts are always top-notch as well. Food and drinks were surprisingly good.Google maps directed us through a neighboring church parking lot to get there. The church had a sign that warned about the road to the restaurant leading to hell. Happy to say, it lied.

I’m Richmond born and raised. I unfortunately find myself out here due to my family being old and relocating for the “country life”, but This place is a taste of home. High-end in both service and food. Have been several times and each time I am transported to home. It’s just amazing all around. 10/10. No remarks. It’s just a really lovely place. Nice to see some culture and civility making its way to SWVA. Reminds me a bit of Stella’s in RVA.. and the service is impeccable. I used to manage several high end restaurants back home, and this place checks all the boxes. Just plain awesome. Reminds me of many places I used to work lol

We’ve passed this place a few years on our trips to the Blue Ridge Parkway and decided to give it a try. When I say we were BLOWN AWAY by the ambiance, the service, the food and the cocktails, that would be an understatement! We were so blown away by dinner that we only took pics of our cocktails! I’ve travelled all over the world and would put this place - located in a small town in the mountains of Virginia - up there with some of the best food I’ve had. We now travel an hour just to go to the market on Thursday’s and dinner and brunch as much as we can. This place is an absolute must try!
