“Greeted by an army of sandwich makers, The Sandwich Shop is a well oiled machine. The service was fast, friendly and efficient. I came because of the vegetarian options and opted for something I would never normally try: the broccolini and sun dried tomato sandwich. Sometimes this tactic pays off, other times it’s a bust. Regrettably this choice didn’t pay off. I won’t hold it against them too much. It was a risky choice; I guess I don’t like sundried tomatoes as much as I thought I did. The bread however was great, and the atmosphere perfect for a lunch. I’ll try again another day and update the review.“
“We recently had date night at Ballston Quarter Market and sampled through several establishments. This one was our favorite. The short rib sandwich is deeeelicious and packed with flavor! The ancho-braised & pulled short rib was so tender and juicy. It paired really well with the bitter arugula and creamy avocado. I also really liked the bread, which sandwiched all the fillings together perfectly and without any of the filling spilling out. I got the waffle fries as a side and they were crispy and perfect potato-to-fry ratio. We also tried the sangrias - red for him and white for me. This was a blend of wine, brandy, passion fruit, lemon, simple syrup and aromatic bitters. Very refreshing and delicious as well. Will definitely be back!“

I got the Buffalo chicken wrap and it was so good, the chicken was cooked fresh and it had a crunch that made it so enjoyable to eat. The Greek salad is simple but taste fresh. My friend got the steak sub and it taste better than most restaurants, meat had lots of flavor. The owner of the restaurant is a friendly nice man. Restaurant is very clean and food comes out fast.“

Turkey is so tender that it is falling apart (like pulled chicken). But, on the whole this is a great location that we return to. I've been using the iPhone Subway app to order online. Sandwiches are ready when I arrive. I would probably be easier to substitute items out of stock with an in-person order, but for now I'll be using the phone app for its convenience.“
“Ordered online today to pick up at 11:20am…. Walked to store and ended up waiting 40 minutes while the employees made all the customers that walked in orders first. The wait to pickup line kept growing and growing and since we had all paid for our meals, leaving was not an option. Not once did anyone acknowledge or apologize. “I discovered Fifty West Cafe due to Yelp! Fifty West Cafe is located in the ground floor of an office building. You can enter the cafe directly through a door from the outside - or you enter the building main entrance, enter the lobby, make a right - and follow the hallway to the end... I stopped in this morning for breakfast. I ordered the Deluxe Avocado Burrito. You get to choose a meat for the burrito - I requested both bacon and sausage - they were happy to accommodate! And a bottle of cold water. I paid with Apple Pay. The food came up quickly - within 7 minutes or so. I opted to eat in. There are a small number of tables to eat in - perhaps a dozen or so tables. There are also 3 tables outside on the sidewalk - close to the cafe. Service was good. As I left, all of the staff yelled out to me - thanking me for coming! #FiftyWestCafe“

“Yall. I came in here on a rainy day in a particularly bummed mood about life in general. My kids and I looked homeless as we’ve been bed bound the last few days because of health concerns. Andre, Whitney j, ta'livia and Jenny legitimately made me cry in this car. They made my family the best sandwiches, asked me every step of the way was my sandwich being prepared the way I liked. Treated me and my homeless looking kids with the best customer service I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY 37 years of life. I don’t make it a habit to have me or my kids hug “strangers” but these folk are now family. My son has autism and won’t eat much, but he’ll eat a sub from Jersey mikes. I can tell you one thing, I’ll never visit another Jersey Mikes as long as these employees are at this one. I cannot say enough good things. I know this is a franchise, and I just want to say kudos to the owner for handpicking such a lovely staff. They made us great food, were extremely kind and they even make us laugh. God bless them“

So I called this location and told them my situation and oh my gosh I will never go to any other firehouse! They were so nice. He deserves a raise or something really special. He was so personable and understanding. It was like talking to a friend! Our card wasn’t working and he was so patient with us and helped us out.
