Charcoal Chicken is actually true to its name as the inside of the restaurant smells like a summer outdoor charcoal bbq! Whether they use actual charcoal to grill their chicken is still unclear but it sure does smell the part. It's located in a strip mall near Town Center in Va. Beach near a more known competitor, Nandos. The Peruvian grilled chicken is the star of the show although they offer other options such as chicken wings and lomo saltado. This chicken is the best chicken I have ever had in my 65 years on this earth!! When adding the sauce or even without the sauce this chicken is scrumptious I mean delicious, delicious!! I drive all the way from Portsmouth Virginia to Virginia beach to purchase chicken from Charcoal Chicken.... It's the best thing going in the 757 area and all over the world as far as I'm concerned.

Alex was a really nice person. The food was full of flavor and delicious. Although it took some time, the wait was definitely worth it because everything was fresh and tasty. Moreover, everything was reasonably priced. If you love spicy food, the ceviche was definitely spicy. Personally, I am not a fan of the Pisco sour, but the food was good. If you are in town with your family, this would be a great spot to go to.
