“My family recently had a wonderful visit to Terra Nebulo. The tasting room is beautiful and very cozy. We were lucky enough to arrive just before sunset and the sun setting over the adjacent hills was beautiful. The wine was very good and fairly priced. I highly recommend visiting. Keep in mind that dogs and children are not allowed, so plan accordingly.“

“This place is the real deal — best Thai food I’ve had in the U.S. in 20 years. Such a homemade flavor. The owner and staff couldn’t be nicer. I try to prepare or buy a meal for the nearby fire station and other first responders at least once a month. ThaiTastic is now the favorite of the men and women at the local fire station.“

“I’ve been vegan 7 years and after trying this once, it’s now in the top 3 of vegan restaurants I’ve tried worldwide. The food was fresh, came out quick and tasted incredible. Staff was also super friendly and helpful in picking out options. The nachos could easily feed four people so it went a long way for just my boyfriend and I. He’s not vegan but absolutely loved it. We got the buffalo burger and dark horse burger. So sooooo good. Topped it off with oat milk ice cream soft serve. Was exactly what we needed after walking over 5 miles in Harpers Ferry. What an amazing gem - cannot wait to go back!!!“

“Three of us enjoyed a late (1:15) business lunch. Two had salads and were pleased with one minor issue - the tuna in the seafood salad seemed a little dry but the salad was delicious as usual. The third person had the soup of the day, a spicy chicken, which was delicious. It reminded her of a Maryland style crab soup. She also had the Maine lobster appetizer as her entree- the polenta was perfect but the lobster, mostly claw meat, was a little chewy. Service as usual was great - attentive but not intrusive. We will be back.“

“We bought the sour cherry crumb pie to celebrate cherry blossom season. Everyone was wowed. Flavor was divine and it was packed with cherries! We've been going to Mom's for decades and never had a bad pie. Nothing comes close to in taste. They have fruit pies, cream pies, Boston cream pies, cookies, brownies and more. If you know you have an event, you can order online in advance. Know that you cannot order online the same day as you're picking up though. Staff is friendly every time.“

“Was recommended to eat here, and I'm SO glad I did! Immediately greeted by everyone! SO friendly & welcoming! I went on a Monday at 5PM, there was one lady seated on the opposite side of the restaurant, it never got crowded or loud. Servers are attentive to your needs. Very kind & sweet servers, warm & friendly! The food-- amazing!!! I ordered 7 different sushi rolls, they were all prepared very well & truly delicious. QUALITY you can tell & taste! The "Akira Moonlight" is my favorite, I've never had sushi with scallop in it & it's a MUST TRY! This is one of the VERY few sushi restaurants around the Ashburn area that's high quality, authentic & worth what you pay for.“

“I remember when Opa opened probably 10 years ago or so and we made the trip to Ashburn to have gyros as I always liked a good gyro. I felt the food was good and always fresh and the service was always friendly and fast. Fast forward years later and we usually get our gyro/greek fix from Plaka these days which we really enjoy. Why do I bring up Plaka? To compare of course...The big difference I see between the two is the Chicago gyro at Plaka consists of chunks of cut/shaved pork so it's a bit different from your typical gyro meat which is what you get here. The Chicago gyro is still good here but better at Plaka. Only other comment I'll make is the gyros came out at room temperature...not hot, not warm...almost cold. I still ate it and we didn't complain but must note that. Overall, I support independent, family run businesses and I realize folks can have an off day. I am sure Opa puts out top notch food and excellent service on a regular basis but the temperature of the gyros on this trip warrants 3.5 stars. If we are in the area again we'd give them another shot as it isn't easy to have the ling term success Opa has had.“

“It’s all about the burgers. Thick char-grilled burgers (NOT a smash burger), fresh angus beef, grilled to order on a house made bun. Yum! Accent your meal with some crispy fries or onion rings, and chase it down with a milkshake.“

“if you're visiting the historic town of Brunswick, then the Potomac Street Grill should be on your list. They have a robust menu that will suit anyone from vegetarians to carnivores. They have a great bar and friendly staff. If I'm ever visiting again, I will surely return.“
“I adore Zephaniah. There outdoor space is quite welcoming and makes it hard to leave once you have your favorite wine and cheese pairing. Though this winery seems to be lowkey and overly humble, they have exceptional wines. It is a family operated winery which the family members here treat you as if you were royalty--from the moment you enter their establishment they are gems.“

“Found this place while looking for a place to grab lunch in the area. I'd say typical bar food, but good. It's pretty small and seems to be frequented by locals who are known by name. While we were dining there, there were some obnoxious people sitting at the bar who were very loud and disruptive, but other than that, it was fine. None of the food was special enough to make me want to come back though.“

“This was one of our best dining experiences recently. The food is beyond amazing! It’s the best pulled pork I’ve ever had, hands down! The service was great. Our server was very friendly. The owner was very social with us and welcoming to our 3 kids. He even gave them a quick “kitchen tour.” We will definitely go back, and if you haven’t been there yet you’re missing out!“

“Beautiful vineyard. That was the perfect place to start my 50th birthday celebration. Theresa was incredibly accommodating and easy to work with to save a table for our party and even made a sign for me. We got a variety of bottles of wine and everybody really enjoyed them. Can't say enough about how kind everybody was. Would definitely come back.“
“Great place to meet up with friends! It's great that you can bring your own food.I had a flight of their white wines; all were good - the Chardonnay was the standout. Our group of 4 loved the petite verdot and we happily had 3 bottles while listening to the live music ?“

“Nice local brewery with outdoor seating both in front and behind the building. If it's crowded, they also have plenty of indoor seats. The beer selection is well rounded -- at least one each of a Pilsner, Stout, IPA, and Seltzer. I didn't notice a Lager, but you can check their beer listing online. Overall, I think it's worth going to to hang out for a while.“
“The crew at Adroit Theory Brewing Company were freaking amazing! Their customer experience and beer knowledge was absolutely outstanding! The beer also...WOW...the wife and I have never in years had beer as good as they have at their establishment. Metal music and beer in one place is a nirvana for us too and they have found a way to make it happen. BRAVO ZULU GUYS AND YOU DESERVE MORE STARS THAN GOOGLE WILL LET ME GIVE YOU IN THE RATING!“

“We visited Sunset Hills somewhat by accident on Thursday 4 April. We were finishng up at a nearby vineyard and checked the Plugshare app to see if any nearby vieyards had EV charging stations. Up pops Sunset Hills eight miles away. We didn't realize until arriving that this vineyard had won a number of gold medals in the 2024 VA Governor's cup.We started off with a taste of the award winning 2020 Reserve Cabernet Franc which could only be described as hard nosed like a young Saint-Estèphe Bordeaux. Our server looked a little panicked and said "you obviously know more about this that I do, let me get my colleague." For the initial round I opted for the Meritage which was considerable softer than the Aabernet Franc. It too was a little young, but opened up nicely after a few minutes.By the time the first round was finished the weather had turned particularly bad. The car was charging and we had nowhere to be for several hours, so why not revist that gold cup winning Cabernet Franc? It turns out that the wine was highly approachable after breathing for a few minutes. In retrospect I wish I had purchased some to take home.“

“I had picked 3 possible places for lunch for our motorcycle ride around Fairfax and Loudoun Countries, and lunch had to be in Purcelville. I am glad I finally went with The Pub. Everything was really good, the food, the service, the coffee ☕!! Coffee was really top notch. It is comforting to know that there are still some restaurants (and Pubs, ha) out there that provide all this good things WITHOUT charging you an arm and a leg like their counterparts in the DC area. Will be definitely coming back!Good job, The Purcelville Pub ??Parking: They were re doing the parking lot, that's the reason why it was tricky to park. It should be done soon, I hope.“

“Willowcroft is the most quaint, unassuming wineries in the area. They have a great variety of wine which are very unique in my opinion. For example, I don't normally like a steeled Chardonnay, but I love theirs and how refreshing it is. Same goes with their Riesling. One of the most surprising aspects of this winery, though, is the gorgeous view!“

“Dear Market Table Bistro: you are a gem in the DMV. You are all Michelin ? to us. Every time we dine with you, we leave with bellies & hearts full. This time was no exception. Thank you for all the effort you put into procuring locally sourced options & serving them up in the most delightful & delicious way. (I just finished the to go side of beans/root vegetables on toast & said an out loud & potentially annoying YUM with every bite. SO GOOD.) Thank you for all you do.“

“We don't get out to Ashburn much but happen to be in the area and drive by Passion Fin for an early Friday dinner. The place is pretty crowded a bit after 5pm and they must have approximately 10 to-go orders packed in front...great sign. We get a table for 2 and take a look at the menu. Standard Japanese fare/choices but they do have hibachi if you aren't into sushi so good to have options. The wife orders 2 rolls and I go with my standby - the chirashi. You get soup or salad (not both) and I go with the salad. I like the ginger dressing and they are not chintzy with the dressing which is a good thing. Our dinner comes out and the rolls are good. Nothing to jump up & down about but solid. The Chirashi is a bit disappointing- they give you a good amount of sashimi on top of rice but the rice isn't seasoned. Tastes like plain white rice. Also, there are no pickled veggies which is typically provided with Chirashi. Definitely had better, more authentic versions of Chirashi. I suppose Passion Fin is pretty good considering you are in the middle of the 'burbs in Virginia. Comparing it to other Japanese sushi joints it comes up a bit short. 3.5 stars is where I land.“

“Yesterday was my first time at this brewery and I must say the vibes were on point. Most breweries I don’t feel welcome but old 690 staff and customers were very welcoming. I enjoy meeting with the customers and their families. The food was delicious and cooked to perfection. They great live music, the beers are top notch. Their merch is fire and a must buy….. period!!!! They also have an open field and play area for the kids to play and run around. You will NOT be disappointed coming to this brewery. My bartender had nothing but good vibes, just down to earth. He has a special place in my heart.# secret society“

“I’m not sure why I haven’t left a review yet, I’ve been going here for a few years now, but if anyone was to ask me what my favorite restaurant was, I would immediately say Patama! “Stopped into Chefscape for a pre-movie dinner. Colombian’s Place is really excellent food! Husband and son both had the Bandeja Paisa. They are foodies, and couldn’t stop raving about how good it was. Portions were huge and beautifully presented in a wooden plater. I am not a foodie but I am picky. I had the CP salad and the cheese arepa. Both were delicious. The chicken seasoning and house dressing for the salad were amazing. The cheese arepa was light and yummy. The (I assume) owner came over not once but a few times to check on us and tell us about the food. It was obvious he really, really cared about our experience and wanted to make sure everything was perfect. It is so rare to see that these days and it made a great experience over the top excellent. Add to the fact there was also good music playing at the venue, all made for the perfect chill, delicious Friday night dinner! Will totally go back!“

“The pizza they serve here is amazing. I've only come a few times with my family, and I always come out of this restaurant satisfied. The only odd part is that you have to go up to the front counter and order food rather than someone coming around to the table. Regardless, it's a nice restaurant and good for families to eat at!Kid-friendliness: Kids treated well here, like in many other restaurants.Parking: La Villa Roma is right beside a huge parking lot. You'll have no trouble finding spaces.“

“This restaurant is the definition of don't judge a book by its cover. The outdoor decor definitely screams old-school diner and the inside is a bit dark. I was in Leesburg for a work trip and this was conveniently located by my hotel when we walked in it definitely looked a bit rundown, and we were the only people dining in. But as I started to read the menu, I got high hopes since their takeout line kept growing and growing, and people started to enter the dining room as well. I will say my coworker started with a margarita and it was not enjoyable and was way too sweet. But the food made up for it! I had the vegetable fajitas and they were very flavorful, and the portions were huge. My coworker had the enchilada taco combo and tried a pupusa. He said everything was tasty. It was his first time trying a pupusa and he loved it!!! I can't forget to mention that the chips and salsa were very good. I could literally drink that salsa! The server was super nice and took great care of us the entire meal. I will definitely be back on my next trip and I highly recommend.“
