Friendly service and good beer

Plenty of parking and a good selection. They had a dj, but we didn't stay. Kid friendly and dog friendly.

We visit Williamsburg from DC 4 to 5 times a year and always make this a stop. Fantastic beer, great atmosphere, lovely staff, games for kids. Food wise they have a great rotation of food trucks otherwise it's just snacks. It's a must go.

The beer at Alewerks is always really solid, and the pretzels with beer cheese!! They do an especially good job with their bourbon barrel beers. Since Alewerks expanded their outdoor seating with a large tent, there’s also plenty of room all year long. The inside is cozy, and both inside and outside are dog friendly. I really enjoyed the pre-COVID drag shows and karaoke nights, but haven’t gone to their events recently (no fault of theirs!).

What happened to this place? The staffing is odd, not very friendly, standing on the side of the bar and talking amongst themselves while we wait at the bar for service. The beer is still amazing, you won't find better, but the atmosphere has changed so much since we last visited. I realize people come and go, but the last time here the staff was fun and engaging, knew their products, and seemed to genuinely enjoy themselves while working, not the case now. The entertainment here lags far behind other breweries in town, often a 1 piece solo act. This was once our favorite place to hang out, drink a few beers, play a few games, and get some good food from local food trucks, even that has changed. The music played on the radio there is terrible, loud and not very good most of the time.

Plenty of parking. We were visiting from out of town and had dropped into the L.A.B. location the day before and were excited to come here. There was a good amount of overlap in the beers but it was a cozy brewery that seemed poplar for the locals. Plenty of seating outside and a good amount inside.I opted for the Pumpkin Ale which has a good pumpkin flavor and a good amount of spice but not overly Pumpkin for those who may enjoy strong Pumpkin Ales. They have a variety of merchandise and a food vendor outside. Some board games as well.Overall a cool place and would definitely be a brewery I would go to regularly if I lived in the area. They do offer flights up to 6 beers as well.

Tasty! Tasty! Tasty! Alewerks has a great variety including a really nice Tavern Brown. The holiday spiced and barrel-aged selections were choice. Their half pound pretzel goes really well

Never disappoints. The staff is fantastic and the beer is he best in the Burg. I even had my 50th birthday party there. I've been coming here since shortly after it opened and the space, the staff knowledge, and selection has grown. They make all the Colonial Williamsburg beers ( or at least they used to.) If you're looking for a relaxing space to get away from the the tourists, this is the spot

I have visited Alewerks in the outlets. I have never had any issues there went to the main brewing company to listen to some music. They were the ones that suggested the two different things that I tasted. and neither one or anything that I would like to taste. I asked to taste the third item and she said all no we can't do that you need to buy something now. Needless to say we didn't stay to listen to music or to buy any type of beer we went to strange ways where they accommodated us fully was shocked for the poor service.

Great spot! Having been to many great craft breweries, this is a great environment and the beer is fantastic. On the Saturday afternoon we visited there was live music outside which was great. The selection of beers was great and staff was friendly and helpful.

Alewerks is a good place to go if you're looking for a drinks and good company. As a person who doesn't like beer, there were two sour options to pick from, which were very good. I picked the passionfruit and guava flavor, which was smooth and not hoppy at all (just what I wanted). There is also soda for people who don't want alcohol. While it can get loud and busy inside, the company and atmosphere are welcoming. I was able to easily make conversation with the people next to me. On Tuesdays, Alewerks has trivia, which is a blast. Sit at the bar or towards the side or back in order to be away from the speaker.

We prefer porters, and this brewery has several options! Love the Black Forest Stout, Baltic Porter, and Pumpkin Ale!

Great beer, atmosphere and people! ?Could use a few more bathrooms though... ?

Best beers of the Williamsburg area in my opinion but more attention could be paid to their outdoor seating area. You may be stuck listening to the generator of a food truck parked too close by and seats are often left wet for hours after it has rained.
