JCJ island cafe must’ve moved or closed, not the same restaurant. Went there and the food was not good at this new Carribean spot. Everybody thinking it’s JCJ and it’s not.

This is place is a HIDDEN GEM for real in Williamsburg, Virginia it's tucked away and it needs to be more EXPOSED BECAUSE HONEY BOO BOO KITTY THE FLAVORS AND FOOD OMGOODNESS ON POINT AND BRINGS ME TO A PLACE I HAVENT BEEN YET JAMAICA !!! I'm from NJ/NY area and coming down to Va food & flavors, and ethnicities like what I'm used are very few and absent ESPECIALLY IN WILLIAMSBURG!! I'm sooo glad this place is nearby it needs soooo much more exposure!! The food I have eaten was/IS delicious!!!Real Post by Shakeera-The MultiState Realtor/Agent

The J*** chicken was awesome but I've had better oxtail elsewhere, but they were still good and the prices were better than most Jamaica spots. Will definitely be returning.

Unassuming little joint serving up some tasty Jamaican comfort food. The curry goat was amazing! Order ahead if you want the j*** chicken. According to the proprietor, it goes quick.

Absolutely horrible!!!!! Dirty little hole in the wall. Preparing orders with no gloves. Nothing is ready. Out of everything then got an attitude because I canceled my order. How are you a restaurant with no food?!? Don't waste your time at this dump.
I ordered j*** chx, cabbage/carrots w/plantains & cake. The cake was my least favorite. The chx was wet (???????). The cabbage/carrots texture & seasoning were perfect... Plantains were somewhat scorched & hard, but I still ate the majority of them.

Goat curry was really good. Also ordered the mac and cheese as a side. It was really cheesey and hardy. I took away 2 stars because I also ordered the shrimp rasta pasta which was the biggest disappointment. Took an extra 10 mins to make and when I got it wasn't very much shrimp or peppers and I think they forgot to add the cheese.

I had been trying to decide on a lunch spot and could not decide on anything. I remembered this little place and am glad I did. While it's a small space, it has a nice variety. I am not that familiar with Jamaican food so I went with the suggestion of the server. I'm glad I did. I had oxtail, mac 'n cheese and plantains. I just finished and I am stuffed. Prices are reasonable and I am going back to try other dishes. There's something got a black cake for dessert that sounded very interesting.
