Nothing to great about this place but the service. Georgia was a great waitress! Which is why there is a star. The food was not great at all. Had to send back our steaks because they were well done and when we received the new ones they were more on the rare side. Not a great experience the restaurant could take the time to dust and clean the vents. I love dessert but wouldn't dare try it literally not happy about this place to be honest first place wasn't great in Williamsburg

Excellent food & service last night at The Jefferson Restaurant. Many choices on the menu. Had the blackened catfish & loaded baked potato with green beans, my husband had the southern combination of ham and fried chicken, mashed potatoes & gravy & greens beans too. Both were equally delicious! We were ready to get our ticket, when the waitress brought a selection tray of yummy looking desserts. Since she went to all the trouble of bringing the heavy tray, we had to choose one, so we decided on the banana/chocolate piece of cake to share. Oh my!! It was heaven. Oh and let me tell you the atmosphere was like stepping back in time. Colonial decor & even the servers were dressed colonial style. If you're hungry and want great food and service, you must stop at The Jefferson Restaurant.

Stopped in today for an early Valentine's dinner. The food was fabulous, service was spot on. This restaurant never disappoints.

So, this was our first and last time at The Jefferson. When you walk in, it's the most outdated version ever of Colonial. Appears it was decorated in 1956 and has never changed. I ordered pork chops with a cornbread stuffing. The sides were a baked potato and salad. The meal came and the cornbread stuffing was wrapped in a piece of mystery meat that had been beaten flat with a mallet. It was smothered in a dark gravy that tasted awful and seemed to be from a can. The salad was literally a few pieces of plain iceberg lettuce with one tomato wedge and a few onion slices. The baked potato was cooked well and was the only saving grace. Oh, it almost forgot, the salad was served with 1 Sister Schubert frozen dinner roll. The waitress was dressed in the most god awful looking "costume" that appeared to have been handed down several times. I attach a picture for reference. At least the Heineken beer was cold.

This restaurant takes you straight back to 1960 I don't think it has ever been remodeled or the menu updated. Food was okay but out of touch for today's diner's I think it maybe be time to retire.

Nice restaurant. Good food with generous portions. The colonial costumes the ladies wore were neat. Looked kinda cumbersome for them to wear, though.

A bit pricey, but food was good.

Food was amazing and fresh, we were the only 3 in the place and the owner came out and spoke with us. It's amazing how this restaurant has been in the family for over 40 years down and continuing to use the grandparents recipes. I would highly recommend this restaurant for fresh seafood and down home southern food. Our waiter was phenomenal and so kind.

The service is outstanding and it's a cute restaurant. They have a full bar for cocktails however no bar seating. I ordered the southern sampler which has fried chicken ham and ribs I got the peanut soup which was very good. However the ham was average and the ribs were boiled and covered in sauce. The fried chicken was good and I would return for that however not the other two items.
