“My dad and I visited my grandma and Pinay Kitchen was where she wanted to go for lunch. Let me tell you, this place has some of the best Filipino food we have ever had. This is coming from my dad who makes the most delicious food and my grandma who are both from the Philippines. We went on a Saturday lunch and it was steady. If you're dining in, don't expect very fast service. From what my grandma was saying the owner and her mom cook the food. The small wait didn't bother me because the food was delicious! We ordered palabok (rice noodle with shrimp sauce). As a kid, I have never been a fan of palabok, but this palabok made me change my mind about it! It wasn't too shrimpy and I really enjoyed the taste! Pork sisig was very good. I loved how it sizzles when it gets brought to you and make sure to stir the egg in. Lumpia. Filipino staple right here! This was a hit with my daughter. It's a bit thinner than what I'm used to but everyone makes it different and it was still good. Fresh lumpia is like a thin crepe wrapped in vegetables. Sauce was great. Chicken mami. I loved this soup!! It's like a Filipino style chicken noodle/ramen soup. It was so homey and the broth was excellent. Dinuguan. This one is for the brave who are unfamiliar with Filipino food. It's pork stew with pig's blood. I really have to be in the mood for this one and I usually just eat a few bites. Let me tell you, this was extra delicious! You probably wouldn't have known it was blood. This is my grandma's favorite! Can't forget to get sago which is like a sugary tea drink with boba and jelly. I didn't get to try the halo halo because I was too full. This place was hit the spot and left my belly so happy! Also... there's a stage for karaoke if you're into that, but we're Filipino... of course we are!“

“This is a nice restaurant with ambience. We were immediately greeted by staff and she showed what the dishes are. The seating area was nice and clean. We had the crispy pork, bbq chicken, lumpia, pancit, and chicken adobo. Everything was delicious! The ube crinkle cookies are sooo good!“

“I always stop to eat here whenever I go to Costco since it is located on Backlick Road. I read all the negative reviews that are fake or out of prejudice from people who have not tasted the food from here. I have been to this restaurant since it opens during COVID. It is the best Filipino food in Fairfax County. It is a reasonable price. If you go to Pinay Kitchen in Woodbridge, you will find terrible food at $14 for the same sweet sausage, eggs, and rice for $10 here at Kamayan. It is mom and pop owner, not McDonalds. I go and see that she is helping other customers. I wait patiently to get good food and service from a family run business with 3 workers.I lived in til I drove here to eat once in a while of as often as I can. I love port and sausages. Her fried eggs are better than my own cook fried eggs. I ask for soy or fish sauce, and she will give it to me.As a regular customer, I have not seen one ant or coachroach since the restaurant opened until today, 21 March 2024. And, I never get upset stomach here. I even bought pork and drove to my foster mother in Fredericksburg. She likes it and asked me where I got her lunch.“
