By far the worst experience I have ever had. It's unfortunate that this is one of the few shops in the area. I'd recommend taking the trip to go a little further out. It appears this is more of an American establishment trying to pass as authentic, hence the American flag. They are over priced for the quality of food you can get elsewhere and the customer service is terrible as well. Now for the food it self. It was so flavorless as if it was cooked in water. I see why it was "mistakenly" given to me. It seems like no one was ordering it and they were trying to dump it off on unexacting customers. I should have just brought it back, because I end up having to throw it in the trash.

My 1st review was 3 years ago when I stumbled across Irie! & 3 Years later their food is still consistently good! The staff is kind, the food is always fresh. I’ve added a couple more pics of the curry chicken roti and brown stew chicken. If I lived closer I’d literally be there once a week. Best Jamaican food I’ve had in VA!Previous reviews: Best Oxtails In NOVA!!! Roti was great, coco bread was amazing, beef patty was nice and flaky

Great flavor with the tiniest bit of heat to the jerk chicken. Stopped here to get a quick bite as I headed home from out of town. There's plenty of free parking and the place was very clean inside. The cashier was very friendly. I got the jerk chicken, which came with rice and beans, cabbage, and a single plantain. That would be my one negative is that there was only one slice of plantain. Other than that, the food was great. Tender. Flavorful. Adequate amount.

Jamaican Chinese gyaal here…I know good Jamaican food and this place is not it, but if you don’t want to cook or hike to better Yardie restaurants in MD or DC, Irie will suffice. Hubby and I have been here a few times and eat time the food taste different (we order the same thing each time curry and jerk chicken & curry goat). Only one time the food was pretty good and the other times have been mediocre. The service is your typical Jamaican stoic impersonal rude service, something I’m not fond of at all being that my Granny has a restaurant in Jamaica and the customer service is known to be 5 star and of course the food is too. So fed up of going to my people’s restaurants and they all tend to have the same dry personality and always yelling at a customer asking for an item/ items on the menu and their response is, ” we nuhaddat!” ( we don’t have that!)?? ? can’t wait to open up our restaurant we’ll never have customer service like that and food will be fully stocked and of course delish authentic Jamaican food!

I absolutely love this place, and their food and customer service is also amazing.
I went to this restaurant an hour before closing and ordered the oxtail entrée and jerk chicken. I tried to call to place my order but the guy recommended that I come in to make the order. I was deciding between the oxtails and ackee fish only because they only serve the ackee fish on the weekends, but the young man that was there that took my order was so sweet kind, generous and nice to me and my family. He went above and beyond and took good care of us. I will be back and I totally recommend everyone to try this place. The food was good and the customer service was OUTSTANDING!Kid-friendliness: Kids are not allowed to sit at the bar, but there is plenty of room for you and your family to sit eat and watch tv!

I went picked up an order from this restaurant and waited 15 minutes. The guy (honest idiot) walked past me several times and spoke around me. When he finally spoke to me he asked not to stand in a very specific location and mentioned nothing about the food.This goes on for at least 30 minutes. The food is AMAZING however, because of the restaurant idot I won't return.
