“Traveled to Middlebury, VT. on a Friday afternoon with my sister and brother-in-law. Decided to try Fire and Ice for dinner. Could not have been more pleased with the choice. The food, service, and ambiance were outstanding. Our waiter Ben was so polite, friendly, and attentive. Highly recommend Ben. After dinner we took a short tour through the rest of the premises and we met Jenn who we really enjoyed talking to. She helped us almost like a tour guide to understand the layout of the restaurant and some of its history. Thank you so much Ben and Jenn.“

“Very quaint. Dining area is intimate and you are so exposed to the other parties that you cannot help but hear all ongoing conversations. This could be nice as it caused us to engage with a neighboring table but if you are not into that, you might want to look elsewhere. Prices were high but not out of line with the other restaurants in town and food was very good.“

“I’ve been coming here since my brother was deployed back in 2005. The sandwiches have Stay true to their size and continuity through taste in customer service. The purples pleasure is my five star recommendation on their homemade honey oat. The owner delivers these himself when he can and is always pleasant to talk with.Go to their local easy to access location in Middlebury and meet them for yourselves. Try the sandwich on the spot and I promise just like Dave Portnoy’s it’ll easily be above an 8.9/10“

“Food is amazing, the staff works hard, this place is a goldmine for Middlebury..been going here since i was a kid..definitely worth it to check this restaurant out, if I could go every day I would :) go try them out! “The sign and building are easy to miss, so note the landmarks so you don't drive by it as we did as well as the friends we were meeting. But the menu had lots of choices, the food was delicious, and the overall experience was like having been hosted by family.“

“When picking up my pizza last night, they discovered the kitchen had my order wrong. They offered to make me another one (it was ready within 10 mins) and offered me a beer while I waited. The young man who assisted me was excellent. Definitely will be back!!“

“Recently I posted a less than charitable review of Two Brothers. I hated doing it, because I think Holmes is an extraordinary member of our community. He cemented that impression when I saw how he behaved online during the pandemic and immediately afterward. Deep respect for how he treats his employees. Anyhow, I returned last evening and had the Philly steak sandwich, with their signature fries. The meal was exquisite! the bread was incredible and everything in it was just as it should be. The fries are simply wonderful. Also had the dry rub chicken wings. Excellent. Service was good. And I must've been in a better mood, because the crowd that was watching a sporting event around the corner at the bar was certainly loud, but last night that just added to the ambience. This place is iconic here in Middlebury and, despite my last review, I can see why now. I don't go to many bars, but I wouldn't mind eating there again!“

“Yummy pastries! It can get crowded sometimes inside but that's to be expected! Make sure if you don't like the way vegan or gluten free pastries taste that you look at the tags because I accidentally ordered a gluten free pastry one time lol! The bread is very good and the danishes are to die for! Super cute ambience in the spring/summer!“

“We travel an hour to get to this awesome restaurant because there is no other place in Vermont that treats you like family. There is not a bad dish on any of their menus.
