“Always creative & yummy! Today, we had an amazing crab cake to start. It was so good we couldn't wait so we failed to take a picture. My partner had a carne asada taco & a fish taco. The carne was his favorite! I had the Waldorf Salad - always excellent. We'll be back soon!”
“I brought my son and his friend here tonight and we received amazing customer service and the boys felt like kings! I didn’t order anything so I can’t personally attest to the food quality. The teen boys loved it though, especially the cheesecake bites. Really friendly ladies helped us and made it a fun experience.”
“Maple city is our favorite place to go. Our server, Ashley, was very nice and attentive. Food was great as always. Always clean when we go in, even when it's very busy.”
“Wonderful friendly service served in a timely manner. Nice atmosphere and the food was delicious. I ordered the garlic salmon and it was fantastic. I would highly recommend this restaurant.”
“Great beer from an amazing staff. Always attentive and ready to recommend the next brew! Owned and ran by veterans makes it even easier to fill up a case with all the choices you’d ever want! Should be your first stop if you’re looking for a great brewery on your Vermont tour.”
“Good diner experience. We eat here for both breakfast and dinner several times a month. The breakfast homefries are some of the best i have had in VT.My only criticism is that I wish they served fresh brewed ice tea.”
“We've been here twice now. Each time was delicious! Bacon wrapped scallops are amazing and melt in your mouth. Baked haddock for lunch is sublime and also melts in your mouth. Fried fish burger is my teenage son's preferred dish and says he it's the best he's ever had. My daughter who is 12 (and adores seafood) loves the fried scallops and grilled salmon. Creme Brulee is my go-to desert and is fantastic.Service is attentive, quick and friendly. Do make a reservation to ensure a spot for lunch as it does get busy during the weekdays that they are open. Probably the best restaurant in town. We are making it a point to include eating here on our travels into Vermont from Montreal when we can.”
“Try the Not your Mama 'meatloaf! Came with selection of 2 sides, so it was delicious roasted brussel sprouts and salad for me. Sharing the best maple crème brûlée added a layer of greatness. If one is open to drinks while waiting and inclined to Maker's Mark, then the Maple Thyme would be a good choice.Dietary restrictions: Plenty of GF options.”
“Best Chinese food buffet in town! Fresh, good and plenty of items to choose from. Worth the money! It does get pretty busy depending on the time of the day. Plenty of space for dining in.”
“We got takeout here over the weekend. The price was quite good. The mu shu vegetables and the vegetable rice were surprisingly bland. The cheese raggoons were good. The spring roll was as to be expected. The dumplings were really quite good. The tempura cheesecake was good but heavy as I would expect. The tempura vegetables were good as were the sweet potato and vegetarian California roll sushi that we got. The seaweed salad was also quite good.”
“I had such a great experience last week. I placed my order by phone, the person was so helpful and patient in answering my questions and they went out of their way to help with my mobility issues and when I got home, I was so pleased that the order was right and SO DELICIOUS! THANK YOU!!! Probably see you again VERY soon. Lol.Parking: They would probably have a lot more business if they changed location. The parking is tricky, especially for handicapped people. My DREAM would be they offer a drive-thru. Lol. We'd order from there at LEAST once a week.”
“Great little spot, stopped in on a whim after the sandwich spot we wanted to go to was closed; so glad we did. I ordered a burger, and my wife had the club sandwich, food was excellent, staff were kind. Highly recommend.”
“Very good meal (scalops, lobster ravioli) and a perfect service. The Barkeeper told us the story of this nice place. Unfortunately was it our last day in the states before the flight home to Germany. Thanks to Josh and his team, it was great!”
“In had a great visit. Many reviews seem to focus on the food. I tend to pay more attention to the ambiance. Nelly’s is the best neighborhood bar I’ve been to. Lots of patrons. Many seem to know each other, leading to lively banter at the bar.I had so much fun soaking it all in, I stayed for an extra Bud!Ordered a cheeseburger and fries. It was generous in size and tasted great.Highly recommended!Parking: This is an urban location, so parking can be challenging. On street parking is 2 hours, but I think it’s free after hours. In the early evening when I went, there was plenty of parking.”
“From the cozy atmosphere to the wonderful service, there is seldom a better place to go out and eat in VT! The food is absolutely delicious and is absolutely a labor of love, which is very apparent. I can't recommend this lovely place enough!”
