“The PEOPLE are what make this place. Kind, attentive and always smiling and joking! It is a little run down with patches on some of the seats and could use a bit of upkeep. However, that can be viewed as part of the vibe - relaxed, comfortable, homey. I always enjoy their quesadillas and margaritas!! And Shirley, Robin and the staff are all awesome!“
“First time eating here recently and it was absolutely amazing. Ordered for 3 people (including a kids meal) and it came to a very reasonable price, the portions were much more than expected as well, especially for the kid's meal. We'll definitely be eating here again.“

“The Phelps Barn in Grafton, Vermont, is a culinary escape to a time less complicated, a place where the modern hustle fades into the background, replaced by the rustic charm of New England. As you roll into town, the sense that you've traveled through time is palpable, setting the stage for a truly quaint dining experience. This isn't just any barn; it's a sanctuary for anyone with an appetite for the hearty, the homely, and the slightly adventurous. The menu is a delightful mix of the familiar and the intriguing—from classic burgers that remind you why you love them, to wild game that tempts the more daring palates. It’s clear there's a skilled hand in the kitchen, balancing the fine line between traditional comforts and culinary curiosity. The service matches the food: efficient yet unobtrusive, allowing you to soak in the ambiance without interruption. Food arrives promptly, an impressive feat that doesn't sacrifice quality for speed. And then there's the dessert—the crème brûlée here is not to be missed. It’s the kind of dessert you'll keep coming back for, a perfect blend of creamy and crackly. After indulging at Phelps Barn, take a stroll through Grafton. It's the perfect post-meal activity, not just for aiding digestion but for appreciating the serene beauty of the area. This town, like its barn-turned-restaurant, embodies a slice of Americana that’s both refreshing and profoundly satisfying. So, if your travels bring you near Grafton, don't miss out on this gem. It's a taste of the past served up just as it should be.“
“You can't go wrong with a meal at the Grafton Inn. My husband had the lamb and it was so tender he could cut it with his fork. I had the filet and they were kind enough to substitute the vegetable to my preference. The filet was cooked absolutely perfectly! Both my husband and I cleaned our plates. Lisa was our server for this meal and she is always so kind and helpful ❤️ A delicious anniversary meal ❤️“
“This deli was so good!! if you're in the area and want to grab something quickly this is the place to go. You can take food to go or you can sit down. They have ample seating, where you order upfront, and then sit on your own. The food was delicious and you can tell it was all fresh and from good sources. The service was super friendly and kind“

“Very busy Sunday morning, and the staff did a wonderful job of keeping a quick pace. The waitress we had ( table of 5) was extremely attentive even though the place was packed. The food was delicious to top it all off. Though I don't care for how the bacon is cooked/ served, I would recommend giving the spot a try!“

“The food here is excellent, and the appetizer and finished with dessert. Unfortunately, it was extremely loud in the restaurant. We got the spill over from the bar in the front of the restaurant. People were yelling across the bar, and it was very distracting. We started out with basic cocktails. They were made correctly, not too strong, not too weak. We ordered the chicken pesto pizza for a starter. Please don't miss this when you place your order. It's wonderful My friend got scallops, and I ordered the chicken special. They were both outstanding. I ordered the creme Brule for dessert. Hands down the best one I have ever had, and such a generous portion. Despite the loud and crazy atmosphere, I will still continue to go. The food outweighs the foolishness.“

“Leslie herself and I assume her husband the cook greeted us, which really set the tone for what was a very warm and welcoming dinner. The food was awesome, the atmosphere was so cozy and warm, and the service was everything you needed and more. Both Leslie and their chef chatted with us briefly and shared some stories about killington which was the mountain my friend and I were on our way to see.I will definitely stop her again on my way through the area and will recommend it to everyone.“

“Dining at The Copper Fox was like stepping into a charming conundrum wrapped in a paperclip riddle. Let’s cut right to the chase: the kitchen could test the patience of a saint. Over an hour for a simple order? One might start to ponder the existential questions of life with would you rather as the hunger slowly gnaws at the gut.But once the food hit the table, it was clear that someone back there knows their craft. The prices? They’ll nick your wallet for sure, but you get what you pay for here: robust portions that bring a punch of flavor, enough to satisfy even the most zealous food lover. The dishes were prepared with a keen eye for detail and a deft hand, echoing a pricey yet palatable experience. The service? Swell enough, but the charm of the staff could use a little boost with more frequent check-ins. It’s a delicate dance between neglect and intrusion, and while our server steered clear of hovering, a little more presence would have been welcomed. The real showstopper? The dirty potato. It’s an indulgent masterpiece, cheesy and bold. Just don’t arrive hungry or an altered state that sharpens your appetite, because the wait could just about kill the joy of anticipation. So, if you find yourself wandering through town, pull up a chair at The Copper Fox. But maybe snack on something first, lest you outpace your patience before the first course even lands.Vegetarian options: Tons of optionsDietary restrictions: Kitchen was open to swap out to accommodate a Vegan diet and a number dish’s perfect“
