“I love this place! Everything on the menu is good no matter what your dietary preferences. It's always clean, it's super cute inside, and the hours are consistent. In this small town, lots of shops seem to have fluctuating and odd hours but this place has their hours posted and sticks to them. I've had lots off of the menu and have not disliked a single item. Being a new vegan and lazy in the kitchen, I'm always looking for easy meals. I'll come in here and get something fresh and also buy some refrigerated stuff for later. I'm so happy I found them!Vegetarian options: The menu is 100% vegan and gluten-free“

“Lucky Chopsticks is an excellent find in Anacortes! We have enjoyed several meals there now, and have found the food to be excellent. It's a bit Americanized, but still very tasty and a little spicy if requested. The service is excellent. All the times that we have been there, the waitress or waiter have been attentive and accommodating. My favorite things there have been the beef dishes, while my partner prefers the sweet-and-sour. Really good chow mein and fried rice. Go at lunchtime, as the deals are very good. The leftovers warm up nicely.“

“I went to this restaurant by myself on a trip to La Conner. As I was by myself I decided to sit at the bar. Didn't want to take up a table. I honestly prefer sitting at the bar anyway. This bar was small and the bartender was quite busy with drinks. I'm a little unsure about the size of the bar. I don't remember at this point. I went here during brunch which is one of my least favorite times to dine out, but I was there and hungry. I can cook breakfast at home. I know how to make poached eggs and blender hollandaise. I was extremely happy to find a corned beef Ruben on the menu. It's been a while since I visited so excuse some details. I prefer pastrami Reuben's, but you can't go wrong with corned in-house beef. The sandwich was a little greasy. It's what you expect from this dish. Greasy, a little messy, delicious corned beef. Great level of sauerkraut and not too much thousands on the sandwich. I think the fries are made in house. I remember either way they were very high quality. Comfortable, clean, and modern. I was surprised by the lack of interaction the bartender had with me. I used to be a bartender. Part of your job as a bartender is to entertain your customer. I had a mocktail and it was great. So she was good at making drinks. Then she started cleaning bottles. I'm sitting at the bar by myself as a single woman. You're a woman too. Talk to me a bit. Part of your job as a bartender is to be social. Not sure if that is a restaurant policy or not. ABC possibly - always be cleaning. That's why I usually go to restaurants for happy hour. I was happy to see this place serving dishes besides breakfast during the happy hour time period. The Reuben was delicious!“

“I really enjoyed my experience here. I went here hoping to get fresh oysters, cooked and not. I mean, it is part of the restaurant name. I went in and was surprised by the lack of staff. I did end up finding out while I was there that there was only one server that night for the entire restaurant. No bartender or host, and the other server for the evening had called out. This guy was hustling and doing a great job! He was definitely at a capacity for what he could personally handle at times and that's okay! It was just one dude. I did hear him at one point mention to new patrons that the restaurant was at capacity and he suggested a similarly priced restaurant a block away. I've been there too, and it was a totally reasonable suggestion. I would much rather have a server that is doing what he can handle than having too many tables and having to rush everyone. I had heard about this restaurant originally from a different business while shopping there. Their suggestion was the caesar salad and the French onion soup. I decided to try both of those and a couple more items. I ordered the salad, soup, 1/2 a dozen shucked oysters, and bread first. My salad and oysters were served first which makes sense as they are both cold. Not sure how often the bread gets ordered as it is a $6 item. They make the Caesar dressing in house. The greens were nice and fresh. It was served with an anchovy filet. I prefer my dressing with a bit more anchovy flavor, but most people probably don't. The oysters were served on a bed of ice with an frozen/iccee style (yeah that drink from childhood) mignonette. I've never had mignonette served that way and I was pleasantly surprised. The quality of the oysters was top notch. I was served the soup as a second course. I hoped to receive the bread with the soup, and that did not happen. The kitchen bakes the bread and it seems as though they weren't expecting as many customers that night. I was told I would not be receiving any bread. The soup is fantastic and anyone ordering it will enjoy it. I heard. A discussion about the preparation being a three day process. I've had French onion before which has a bit more of a beefy flavor which I prefer. Would order again. I asked whether I could order something else and asked about the pan fried oysters versus the pan fried oysters with house made fettuccine. I went with the appetizer as I just wasn't feeling the pasta. Probably next time! I was told a couple of minutes later that the kitchen was closed and I would not be receiving the oysters. I went ahead and ordered the chocolate lava cake for dessert. Surprisingly I did receive the oysters and the bread. Boy am I happy that I did! First, it got me to the point of feeling full. Second oysters were the reason why I was there. The oysters were lightly battered and pan fried. Those were the best pan fried oysters I have had in years. Crispy, light, super juicy inside. The batter and fry were perfect. The bread was a very high quality bread. Chocolate lava cake for dessert. They were out of the bread pudding which was my first choice. It's chocolate lava cake. I've had it a lot before. Not the best, not the worst. The cookie served as an accent on the desert was honestly the best part of the dessert. I would have preferred some dessert made with the cookie. Even an ice cream sandwich with the cookies, ice cream, and a fruit topping would have been a nice change from the usual chocolate lava cake. As a chocolate lover I wasn't inspired by the dessert. The restaurant itself is pleasant. Comfortable, wood accents, and relaxed. One star off for a couple of reasons. The server asked me if he could help me with anything after I seated myself at the small four seat bar. I'm obviously here for dinner, just give me a menu. The confusion about whether or not I would be receiving the items that I ordered. I'm really glad that I did receive those items! Best part of the meal. I don't think they normally have anyone sit at the bar. I was by myself and I didn'“
