Retirement home bar attached to a resturant but they both accept people that aren't residents, all are welcome, good casual bar great for anyone who wants a drink or something to eat and relax.

We found this restaurant listed on a dining for miles program, so didn't know much about it but the online menu looked good. When we walked in we discovered this is the eating establishment of a retirement community, but their participation in the miles program suggests they were trying to attract outside business. The one star is because the service was glacially slow. They had to try, really hard, to be that slow. It took 25 minutes to get water and 30 to get a smoothie. Here's the worst part. The staff to customer ratio was 1:1.5. That's to say, there were four staff (waiter staff, not kitchen staff) to six, that's right, 6, customers! As of this writing, still waiting on a fried egg sandwich. I'm not going to wait to post this, because if I did, it might never get finished.

Got a lot of time? You'll need it eating here. To say the service here is lackadaisical would be the most amazing of understatements. While the place is almost empty, it took about forty minutes to get our food. First, we ordered smoothies to start. Nothing happened for a long time--we could see the smoothie-making station from where we sat. After fifteen minutes or so, we were given an update that some of the fruit wasn't available, and had to be gotten out of the freezer. We were given no option to change our order, etc. Somewhere in there, the waiter finally took our order for our breakfast. It took a total of 30 minutes to get our smoothies, and another 15 minutes to get our meals. The food is good enough, although the hashbrowns are very oily. The smoothies are actually quite good. It's not actually that big a deal that we were kept waiting for so long, as we are on vacation. However, it makes me wonder how long the folks who live in this retirement community have to wait for service in different aspects of their lives. This place would do very well to improve training for their staff.
