About Shabu Shabu Kyoto

Shabu Shabu Kyoto is a highly recommended restaurant in the Seattle area, known for its high quality meats and tasty broth. Guests often enjoy their signature beef shabu shabu, with some trying pork for the first time and finding it delicious. The broth is flavorful and improves as vegetables and meat cook, complemented by their homemade sauce. The restaurant offers generous portions, and although there is no all-you-can-eat option, many diners find a few plates enough to feel full. Popular choices include sukiyaki with rib eye and spicy miso with American wagyu, both praised for their delicious taste and depth of flavor. Guests also enjoy additional items like crispy rice, daikon salad, and sake flights, which add to the overall experience. Despite its beautiful design and quality food, some reviews mention that the restaurant can get loud, making conversation difficult. Service is generally attentive and friendly, though some guests note moments of stress among staff, which can affect the ambiance. Overall, Shabu Shabu Kyoto offers a comforting and satisfying dining experience, making it a top choice for those visiting Seattle and a place to bring friends for a memorable meal.

Great food. Great service. Highly recommended.

We always have the beef shabu shabu but tried pork for the first time and it was delicious! The broth could use some more flavor but it gets better as the veggies and meat are cooked. Their homemade sauce is also delicious. I recommend trying their crispy tuna appetizer! The only thing is the restaurant can get really loud and hard to hear when you are conversing. Otherwise, I highly recommend this place.

Excellent shabu shabu! Enjoyed boiling the meet and vegetables. Great mochi and yuzu ice cream.
