“First, I must admit - I LOVE smoothies! Emerald City Smoothie (ECS) is by far my favorite spot for one, and I frequent several locations throughout the county each week to enjoy them. I specifically picked the Tukwila location (even though there was a closer one to us) because they consistently make great smoothies and their staff are very friendly.We had a staff meeting of 20+ people to serve breakfast to. We wanted to create a 'make your own acai bowl' bar for staff. Martin (ECS) was fast to respond, extremely accommodating, and very helpful throughout the entire process. He hooked us up with the bowl bases in larger containers for easier transporting, their yummy granola, and all the bowls and silverware needed. We bought all the fruits for the toppings. Martin helped to build a package that met our food needs as well as our smaller budget.Upon pick up, the bowls were all ready and packed up at the agreed upon pick up time, the consistency was perfect, and the flavor was great! The team thoroughly enjoyed the bowls. We have several ECS fans on our team and they were so happy to be able to enjoy the real deal for an acai bowl. We not only impressed them but also made new fans out of those who hadn't had an acai bowl or ECS. Thank you for helping to bring more variety and creativity to our staff meeting menu. We will definitely be back!“

“We went into this location with a large group of people on a day we were doing a scavenger hunt in downtown tacoma. All of our drinks tasted great and the store was very clean. Probably one of the biggest Emerald City buildings I have been in, there was enough space to sit/stand around and wait for the rest of our group to get their drinks. The only thing I would comment on is that there was only 1 person making drinks and she seemed overwhelmed and exhausted. There was a new lady that was taking care of the check out and no one to help her since there was only 2 of them there and the other person was making the drinks, I would recommend someone to be there to train the new person since the person making the drinks didnt have time.... it took a long time to check out.“
“Soups and salads freshly made at a reasonable price. I always have enough for a second lunch. Service and environment is welcoming, clean, and quick. They do have tables for eat in or a small office lunch out.Give them a try while dropping pounds in the New Year!“
“I would give this place 5 stars for its process of upgrading the store. i have shopped here from time to time and watched the positive changes. And i have wondered if the intention of the store management is to limit the appeal to Hispanics, or to broaden it to attract all. My little bit of research tells me the place is controlled by a very smart Chinese guy. He also has the H Mart across the street. That place almost sizzles and is fun to shop at. I figure he is getting there with the Mexican store But why not make it a cool place for anyone? How about this: The store sponsors a periodic event where they invite people who do not speak Spanish to learn about the store. They could tour it, get some small samples and have their questions answered. "Which peppers are the hottest and how are they used?" They could do this monthly as more and more people learn. If the guy who runs the place is interested in this idea, I would help him.“
