Stopped in and eyes were bigger than our stomachs, but thankfully Moonshine is open later than other BBQ restaurants on the Northside of Seattle. We started with Poutine w/Brisket and Fried Ribs, and then the Family meal of BBQ with Sweet Potatoe Fries and Colard Greens. Rounding it out we also ordered a side of Mac-n-Cheese and Fried Jalapeños (not on the menu, but you can order them).Everything was good, and we have enough leftovers for entire second meal. The Fried Ribs was my favorite, and the Colard Greems were next best (IMO). Staff was very friendly, and everything were ordered was brought to us quickly.

We have been eating here since the pandemic and the food NEVER disappoints! This spot deserves 10 stars not only for the food but for the AMAZING service! We will keep coming back and sending more people this way!

Simply a great hockey/sports bar. Had a nice cold Molson after a game of hockey and watched the Habs....don't get any better (except the Habs lose too often)!

Service is always good, tap selection is always good. Absolutely no qualms there. However, the barbecue is probably some of the most inconsistent I've ever had from a quality perspective. The sauces and flavors are great, but the meat ranges from perfectly done to dry as a bone. The first time I went the wings were great, so was the sausage and so was the brisket. The second time I went a few months later (after having such a great experience the first time) the wings were great again, but the brisket was some of the driest and blandest I've ever had. The third visit saw the wings being very dry, the pulled pork being dry but passable and the hot links being perfect and fantastic. The fourth visit I had lovely brisket, lovely pulled pork and lovely wings. Back to having a great experience. The flavors are good (IMO) but the inconsistency makes it difficult to to want to spend the money sometimes.Vegetarian options: You can have a side salad and a beer.Parking: It's a parking lot. You park your car there, and then walk inside.

I had the Reuben on a pretzel bun. I do believe it was the best Reuben I’ve ever had! The boyfriend got the sliders appetizer, which came with fries. Sooo good! I was so happy we stopped in! Prices were very reasonable. The meat was moist and tasty, our waitress was very dry and bland. Maybe she had a language barrier issue? Bartender was nice!

A little hidden gem! The drinks were great & so many good food options! We chose this place because they had a great cocktail menu along with beer options!

Food was meh! Corn bread was good and so were the fried pickles. But have had better bbq at chain restaurants. Atmosphere was hockey all over and loud also tables were not cleaned well after use. Glad to try it but won’t go back.Parking: Parking was full of potholes and gravel so don’t wear noce shoes. There is absolutely no waiting area inside so your kind of standing there watching everyone eat.

The food and service at Moonshine BBQ are outstanding. The barbecue can compete with any barbecue I’ve had in the South or Midwest. When you enter the restaurant, the atmosphere doesn’t feel like you’re in Washington, it feels like a Southern barbecue restaurant. My server (Jeremy) was very attentive, patient and helpful. This is now my go-to spot for barbecue. I highly recommend this restaurant.
