I came in a party of 6. 3 of my friends were charged twice. We called to correct the error with proof, the refused a refund until we threatened charge back.

Meh. Place was overcrowded and drinks spilled. There's some drama with the owner having a friend who takes advantage of women that really spoiled the mood. Plenty other bars in the area that are cheaper and offer a more relaxed experience.

So happy this wine bar is here. Small and cozy with amazing selection of wine by the glass and bottles. Tina and Joe are excellent stewards. Great spot to come solo or with friends. Cheers.

THE BEST PLACE EVER! My wife Stacey and I are new to Mercer Island and Barrels Wine Bar has been the best place we could ever find. The first time we went to Barrels the owners Joe and Tina welcomed us with open arms. Joe is the Wikipedia of Mercer Island. He knows everything that's happening on Mercer Island and has so many great recommendations of other places to go. He'll teach you about the vast variety of wines they carry and the small plates they offer are all fantastic. They offer special events and it's in the best location on the island. If there is only one place you visit on Mercer Island, its got to be Barrels Wine Bar. It's a wonderfully comfortable place, with fantastic wine and incredibly nice owners.

What a gem of a spot to enjoy any kind of wine your heart desires! From affordable to ultra pricey there is a plethora of choices that will satisfy you here. The owners, Joe and Tina, were present and lovely to chat with as I sat at the bar with a few of the locals enjoying a galss. The happy hour menu has no time limit and offers several choices which are all $6 each. I love that! Ordering wine out some times seems overpriced and ridiculous to pay $15 for one glass of wine. Of course their menu for wine by the glass does include non happy hour prices for a glass of vino from a primo bottle. Such as the $14.50/glass of a pink champagne. Which I assume comes from a bottle of equally expensive champagne. Maybe on my next visit I will splurge for a glass of this pink bubbly. For todays visit I had a glass of rose from a bottle made in WA called Mr. Pink and a glass of white from a mixed white from France. I am not an extreme wine aficionado but I do know what is good and is not. Both were delicous! And I know I can't drink chardonnay because of the tannins. I digress, the happy hour menu also offeres small bites which I will try next time with that pink bubbly. Other bites on the menu are offered too for parties of two or more. I saw some coming out of the back and it all looked good. Appartently they also put on neighborhood art and music events. I signed up for their email list to hopefully attend future tastings paired with food. Wine for purchase is put in categories from where it is made and by type. The cold case has already chilled bottles to chose from. They had four beers on tap if your not a wine person. Lastly, Tina the owner made a list of local hiking trails for me when I shared with her my love of hiking. Thank you! Cheers and enjoy the wine. Happy Yelping Peeps.

Surprisingly cheap wine tasting! Everything was really good. I was in a white wine mood that day, and they helped me pick out what I would like.

Great wines and great owners.Barrels is a gem in the Seattle area. They have the best pours on their menu, a stellar selection of bottles from all over the world, and the warmest, funniest, and knowledgeable owners/staff. It’s always an enjoyable time!

Excellent selection of wines by the glass or bottle priced well. The small plates for 2 or 4 are terrific. A very pleasant experience.
