“Been going there for years. Went there on March 15th 2024found the owner sold it. The food wasn't the same. Ordered it to go and when I got home. Opened the food and it was all wrong. The food just wasn't the same. sadly don't think I'll be going back.“

“Amazing atmosphere, superb service, hidden gem. Sushi Kaunta is the best sushi/sashimi that I’ve had in the PNW and is on par with the same quality/tastes that I’ve had from other similar restaurants in Asia. I came across the restaurant online and thankfully the owner was able to help me with a table for one. The owner is extremely nice and provides personable service. I had the chef’s choice nigiri and ordered two additional pieces off of the menu, every bite was fresh and extremely delicious. Highly recommended and I look forward to when I can come back again! Definitely reach out in advance for a reservation and follow the clear directions on the website to make a reservation.“

“The dining experience is unlike anything in this little town of Bonney Lake so it was a very pleasant surprise. Great service. The care with which they present their dishes and the quality of the food is outstanding. You do pay more because of it though. I think it's worth it because now that there are so many sushi restaurants to choose from my husband and I find ourselves being more dissenting about the quality. A poor sushi experience stays with you (and not in a good way) forever but this particular restaurant has definitely delivered on quality. The place is small and cozy so plan ahead. I would not recommend for large groups. But definitely intimate for a romantic dinner for two.“

“Our favorite little ramen / Japanese restaurant in Puyallup. The waitresses are always super friendly and attentive. The restaurant is small and quaint but clean and comfortable. There is a small parking lot in the back and a few stalls in the front. Their black garlic ramen is always our favorite.Kid-friendliness: They have high chairs and offer little children's bowls and scissors for children to eat.“

“We have been there a couple of times. Everything has been excellent. Prices are comparable to other sushi restaurants in the area. Our only complaint is the tea is a bit week. Still deserves 5 stars.“

“First time eating at Nami Sushi, and it did not disappoint! We ordered the small boat, which has 20 different items in the boat and 3 different kinds of rolls. We also ordered the tempura calamari and Agedashi with a side of Japanese beer (large bottle of Asahi). The wait staff are attentive and checked on us multiple times. The restaurant is clean and tables are nicely spaced apart, tables are cleaned immediately. The decor of this restaurant is pretty cool and unusual. We will definitely be back. Thanks Nami Sushi!“

Well the reviews were right the food was so good and very tasty with a very polite man at the register, definitely coming back to here again before I leave town. Thank you!“

“I have never had teriyaki like this before, most teriyaki places have sauce all over the meat, sure, but the meat will STILL be dry. NOT HERE - the chicken is the most moist I have ever had at a teriyaki place, it isn't dripping in sauce, it just has a perfect layer for flavor. I 100% recommend this place to get your teriyaki, go ahead an ask for a side of sauce, but you'll barely even need it. ?“

“Their food is really good. Just had the beef teriyaki with California roll. Their plates come with steamed veggies instead of salad. They're always pretty nice too! The place feels clean and their food safety rating is at excellent. I've only been here twice and both times were good!“

“I’m a regular at this place- always friendly folks, great food, and hearty portions. Like everything else- prices have doubled in the last couple of years but I’d rather spend $14 on chicken teriyaki with rice and salad or chicken yakisoba- enough for dinner and lunch the next day than the same amount for a burger and fries!“

“I have pad Thai and Thai fried rice and they both well seasoned. One thing that I love is drink packaging. I always have a hard time mixing Thai tea by just stirring with a straw so it is great to see that use a better quality plastics cup that well sealed and reusable so I can shake the cup without creating a mess.“

“The hostess was very friendly and the food was quickly prepared and served. It was hot and fresh, and the fried rice was delicious. The General Tso chicken was just alright. It was very salty and had no heat, desperate being market as "spicy" on the menu. The price was also too high - a weekday lunch entrée with rice and a soda ran well over $20.Their soda options are limited to Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite, Root Beer, and Orange Fanta. The environment is very spacious and clean, with a warm and well-lit atmosphere.Wheelchair accessibility: Very spacious indoor environment, with plenty of room to fit a wheelchair at many tables.“

“Was helping my guy shop for a car today and when it was all said and done, we were starving so wanted somewhere close and Sapporo sushi came up on Google. Its a cute little restaurant, lots of decor on the walls and the servers are really sweet and prompt with service. I don't really remember the name of the rolls, I remember one was a volcano roll and one had spicey crab on top which was absolutely phenomenal and another had eel. We got a tasty miso and side salad as well Hamaki as a starter which were fried egg rolls that were very crispy and tasty. Overall a very pleasant dining experience and amazing food, ill definitely be returning. Everything pictured was $71 before tip so it's also reasonably priced. If I had to nitpick one thing; the eel was pretty thick sliced which was awesome, but I'm hugely textural with foods and eel skin is not something I find very enjoyable on the palate. I removed the pieces of eel and peeled the skin off to avoid the slimy texture that accompanies eel skin. Other than that, everything was great.“

“There are not a lot of sushi restaurants in Tacoma, and of those I know of, they tend to think they're in Seattle and it's okay to charge $20 a roll, or competing with gas stations to make you nervous, this place is the exception. It's affordable, not pretentious, cute interior with pretty solid sushi, (I stick with the veggie options but my friends have all enjoyed the fish, so second hand account on the actual sushi)If you live in the area and want sushi, I definitely recommend it, for whatever that's worth :)P.S. I'm grading this a bit on a curve due to the other options I've had, but it's a review so definitely biased in some way or another.“

“The BEST Fried Rice (w/ combo) I have ever had hands down!! Food is Always freshly made and the portions are well worth the price.. Definitely puts me in a food-coma every time LoL!! And customer service is great- for one person the cashier Lady who is always working does a great job of handling all Walk-in customers (including those who dine-in) + all Pickup customers. She handles the pressure with ease. Great hospitality!! The restaurant is pretty small but I always dine-in when I go after work. Most customers order To-Go. Overall I definitely highly recommend. “This place is a gem for Filipino food! I usually get the chicken adobo and it's SO good. The meat falls off the bone and you get a nice portion for UNDER $10 WITH rice. Rice isn't extra. They have various options for they lumpia as well! I can't have too much red meat so I usually get the ginger garlic and it's absolutely delicious. They're pretty nice with the sauce as well. if you really like it they have it bottled! The ONLY complaint I have is I wish I could get a little more sauce with the adobo but the rice just absorbs like all of it but that's just a preference really. You have to order online but check out is simple and easy! If you love Filipino food I highly recommend!“

“I called in hours prior to coming to this establishment because I have celiac and have to eat only gluten free. Their sushi chef was SO helpful in accommodating us and our allergies. Thank you SO much!Dietary restrictions: They accommodated my gluten allergy.“

“I've been to this place more times than I can remember. They serve great food, and only rarely do I get food that isn't perfect. I think that sometimes the chef cooks the chicken a little too long as only one time I've had dry Katsu. If you want teriyaki in Auburn, I recommend this place as your 'go to' location.“

“I recently had the pleasure of dining at this teriyaki shop, and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming atmosphere.First and foremost, the food was absolutely delicious. I got spicy chicken teriyaki and general tso's chicken. Each dish was bursting with flavor and made with fresh ingredients. Whether you're a fan of chicken, beef, or tofu, they have something for everyone. The teriyaki sauce was perfectly balanced, not too sweet or too salty, just right. What really blew me away was the speed of their service. Despite the bustling lunch rush, my order was ready in record time. It's evident that they prioritize efficiency without compromising on quality. Whether you're dining in or taking out, you won't have to wait long to satisfy your cravings. In addition to their tasty food and quick service, the prices are very reasonable, making it a great option for a satisfying meal that won't break the bank.Overall, I highly recommend this teriyaki shop to anyone craving delicious Japanese cuisine served with lightning-fast service. I'll definitely be returning for more soon!“

“Nice clean Teri joint on East Hill Kent. Portions were good, flavor was excellent. I liked applying my own salad dressing versus getting drowned salad. Rice was perfect, very nice gyoza. Chicken portions could be slightly larger, as could the vegetables in the veggie yakisoba, but does not detract from my rating as the price was reasonable.“

“Love that this place is nearby and has hamachi Kama for a really decent price! It's quite small and hidden among the apartment complex but if you know where to look it's good. Never really tried anything else from here but definitely my go to when I want hamachi Kama.“

“Not good…..this place used to be a jewel..but to piggyback off of C.A.’s comment, I had ordered the teriyaki & Garlic chicken….it looked AND tasted like it was cooked in dish water..disgusting!!!….from the comments I guess there must be either new owners or workers or both…but they better get their act together or they will be out of business…I’ve been here more then a few times (although not lately, but today)…never had a problem and the food was good….until today.“

“I haven’t been here since probably 2 years and I went yesterday and got a ‘moms plate’ which is essentially a family meal and I was pleasantly surprised with the amount of goodies you get with it for only 50$ (3 large plates of entrees with fried rice and lots of side dishes&soup) it’s supposed to feed 4 but it definitely can feed more than that. And my favorite sweet and sour chicken has gotten much better since the last time I’ve gone, they must’ve started using better chicken as it was a lot fresher and not dry. Owners are extremely kind and I’m always greeted with a big smile, certified auburn classic and I’ll be coming back more often!!“

“Ordered the kung pao chicken, it was delicious! Comes with two nice big scoops of rice and a good portion of chicken and various vegetables (there are peanuts!) The sauce goes well with the rice, yum. It had just the right amount of spiciness (you probably can’t eat this if you have 0 tolerance for spice). Pick up of the takeout order went smoothly, food was ready fast and I was in and out. Restaurant itself was small and a bit dark but clean enough. The man at the front/cashier was friendly. Be wary though that they don’t really read the special instructions/notes; I asked for a spoon, chopsticks, and napkins in my pick up order but ended up with just a single small/thin napkin and a fork. The sauce had spilled out from the edges of the styrofoam takeout box so thankfully there was a plastic bag around it, it was a bit messy inside the bag.. Other than that though, food was great! Would come back again to give it another shot and to try out some other dishes on the menu.“

“I had Honto Teriyaki cater an event for me. It was for over 40 people. I chose a wide variety of food. It was excellent! Food was hot, tasty, and everyone had seconds. It was very reasonably priced. The service was excellent. They made sure everything was to my satisfaction. All of my guests loved the food. I have been to this restaurant and eaten there in person a few times. Again food is incredible. The restaurant has a very nice vibe to it. It is very comfortable setting to have dinner with your family. “We had a reservation Saturday night for six people. We were not told that an automatic gratuity would be added, and I did not check out the website to see that. I have no problem with you adding gratuity. The problem I have is that you didn’t tell us. Yes, I know it’s on your website but not everyone reads everything on the website and I think it is proper for you to inform us. The chef we had was very good quite funny! Our server was wonderful, but a little busy and we had to ask for refills and rice for my husband. So overall a good experience, the food was delicious. The bathrooms could have use some attention but overall I’m not dissatisfied. I just think it is your place to let people know about an 18% automatic gratuity. Thank you so much.Parking: Parking was not very easy but no surprise on a Saturday night at peak dinner time“

“I've been to many sushi places in the Tacoma/Seattle area and Fujiya certainly stands out as one the best. I can really only speak to the nigiri, but it is always fresh, melt in your mouth tender and generous slices of fish. So good! I want to go back just talking about it!“

“I have been coming almost every week for the past several months. The folks that run the place are friendly and the food is pretty good - I almost always get the chicken teriyaki and gyoza combo. If there's any sort of issue (which is rare to begin with), they'll make it right. They make it easy and enjoyable to want to come back every week.“
