“Tokyo Stop has been here several years but my understanding is it has recently been taken over by new owners and the change is very noticeable in the positive. The place has been remodeled taking on a more Japanese ambiance although the remodel is apparently still ongoing. The food has been remodeled also and I must say it is very good and the portions are very much in line with the prices. While dining-in seating is available they obviously are doing a huge takeout business. Now as for the food, we ate there last evening for the first time in over a year and it was so good we had to go back for lunch today. While it is primarily a takeout restaurant the quality of their food parallels that of an established sit down restaurant. If you have read some of my previous reviews on other establishments you know I give credit where it is due but also let it be known if you are better off going elsewhere. I highly recommend this Tokyo Stop; good value for your hard earned dollars.“
“Went on 21 March 2024 from 1930 to 2030.It's easily the best sushi in Oak Harbor, if not the whole island. It's better than most places in Seattle, too.We had the Moto Omakase set.Service is excellent, friendly, professional, and fast. Prices are average. Portions are generous. Sashimi is served cold and without ice crystals. Fish is very fresh-tasting. Presentation is very orderly/pleasing to the eye. Even the wasabi and ginger are above average.I would seriously consider traveling to the island just for this dining experience.Dietary restrictions: They have tamari and accommodate gluten-free requests, however, gluten-free items are not marked on the menu.Parking: Free parking lot.“
“Great service, excellent quality, fair price (not cheap, but not expensive: food costs more these days). The sushi chef is a very friendly old man.Kid-friendliness: They provide an atmosphere comparable to visiting relatives/friends after a long time apart.“
