“Omokase with Nakano-san is a truly special experience. Knowledgeable and personable, he serves a variety of tasty nigiri to delight your palate. Sit at the sushi bar for a memorable evening. When Nakano-san chooses, you try fish you might not have chosen yourself. A fun night for sushi lovers! If you can't get a seat at the bar, order a variety for the table. Staff are there to help you choose something special. Photos are from a March 2024 visit. Notice the variety of old standards and seasonal fish. Enjoy!“
“As a sushi lover, I was so happy about the quality of seafood of the three rolls I tried. I went out of my comfort zone and tried a dish called "chawanmushi" and it was so good! The staff were friendly and knowledgable and the restaurant had a warm vibe. I will return and bring others!“
“The grilling, freshness, juiciness, and teriyaki sauce of the chicken were excellent. It was nice that Korean-style chicken was made and sold separately from breast, tai, and wings, so you could taste different flavors. It seems like it was a godsend that there was rice cake in it.. hahaThe taste and service are top notch!A home that is sure to be visited again!“
“My buddy and I showed up near closing time, at first they were hesitant in serving us for dine-in but after telling them we would eat super fast they took a chance on us. Food was brought out fast, the food itself was still really good (quality not sacrificed for speed), and they were nice the whole time. I could tell they have a good sense of humor as I cracked a few jokes and thats what I like to see. We definitely plan to come back again.“
“Our family has come to Five Corners Teriyaki for many years. We have never had teriyaki anywhere near as good as Teriyaki from this restaurant. The people who work here which I assume are the owners are extremely friendly, kind, and provide exceptional service. We had moved to Arizona about a year and a half ago and had been craving Five Corners Teriyaki. When we came up to visit family in WA, we made sure to stop by and pick up our usual. The food is so delicious and the service is still just as exceptional as it always has been. Our family loves their chicken and beef teriyaki (regular and spicy) and the General Tso’s chicken is to die for. We also order the gyoza which is always perfectly cooked. This time we made sure to purchase their teriyaki sauce to bring back to AZ. This is also the best teriyaki sauce we have ever had in our lives. Thank you Five Corners Teriyaki for your delicious food and service!!!“
“We love this place! The beef fried rice and pad thai are our favorites and they make the food very quickly so it's perfect for when you're waiting for the ferry!Wheelchair accessibility: The front door has a short steep ramp (8-9 inches, approx 45°) instead of a step so it is possible to roll inside if you give a good push.“
“Visiting my brother and he took me to his favorite casual sushi place. I can see why it’s his favorite!!!!! The service was outstanding and the servers were very attentive. It was a comforting place to be. The sushi was fresh and scrom-SHUS.“
“I have been seeing and getting food from Esther since I was a little kid! The food has always been great quality and well priced for how much food you get! I only ever come to her to get teriyaki!! She always is so amazingly generous and kind anytime I’ve gone there, always taking the extra step! As a senior in high school this scholarship helps me cover the cost of graduating and more. I will forever will always come to her!!! Thank you Esther“
“Another reels recommendation. Cash and Venmo onlyWe live in issaquah so this place is quite the trek. My partner was particularly drawn in by the oversized roll with a variety of fish.Maybe I picked the wrong menu items, but overall not sure what the hype is about. The oversized roll is 30$+ so it’s not like it’s cheaper on a per serving basis. The fish was also so cold to the point where it hurt my teeth to eat (I do have sensitive teeth, but I’ve never had trouble with sushi before). Having so many different fish in a roll meant I couldn’t actually taste the individual flavors very well. I’m also not a fan of raw green onions paired with sushi. The other rolls also weren’t anything special. We got a scallop nigiri which was good tho.Overall probably won’t be driving an hour to come here again.“
“In short Solid new addition to the sushi world around here. Great service, good fish, very diverse menu. Stick with the basics and the value is excellent, but branching out is worth it too. In long This hasn't always been the most beckoning parking lot along 196th, but it's all cleaned up and open for business lately. Good chicken spot next door, where there used to be a grotty mini-mart. Just enough parking. Inside, you immediately forget you're on a main road. It's quiet, clean, well lit, well organized. You walk around past the fish case and into the dining room. Several lightweight matching tables and chairs. You immediately have menus and water. It's a neighborhoody spot rather than a specialty destination, and your first hint is that you already have both sticks and a fork on your napkin. The menu goes on for days, tightly spaced and almost every line is another item. Sashimi, maki, nigiri, teriyaki, ramen. Traditional rolls, modern ones, some creative spins from the kitchen, too. Easily 200+ items. Not much sake selection, but the prices are crazy good. Takoyaki Served very hot, plenty of filling, good flavor, nice mild dipping sauce. Good value. Tuna Tataki Great peppery flavor, served cold, nice sauce. Would love to get this again but kind of expensive ($16) for the serving size. Tiger Eyes Lots of cream cheese flavor, not much smoked salmon showing. Tasty but not super interesting. Jade roll Cucumber-wrapped rolls always sound like a nice change of pace but it's hard to get enough cuke in place to hold it together without dominating the flavors of the fish. White Scorpion roll Beautiful to look at, falls apart easily, very mild flavors. Small sashimi omakase Tasted pretty good. $20 for 8 pieces. Ironically cheaper per piece than the bigger platters. This place is neither overcharging nor offering a crazy value, at least for the dinner menu. The service was SO nice, so friendly and organized, that I'd probably come back and order more carefully. For 3 people we were out the door for $215, which is more than I'd really want to spend usually at a neighborhood spot. Having said that, I probably could have dropped $60 worth of appetizers and filled up on an extra $3 bowl of miso.“
“Food was fresh miso soup some of the best I've had and I usually don't care for it. We had two rolls, and it was a lot of food. I found it to be kind of pricey, but good quality food and a lot of it. the restaurant itself is a little dark and hard. It didn't feel like a sushi place but I gave it four stars because the food really was outstanding.“
“My family enjoys the Wasabi factory, the sushi has always tasted good, and my son demands we go here for it. Personally, I love the breaded chicken it's so crunchy and awesome. The staff has always been friendly and kind, especially to my kids.“
“There’s a reason this place is 4.5+ stars plus right now — good sized portion, food made fresh to order and friendly service! Nice mom and pop shop — chicken teriyaki was nicely grilled thigh meat with just the right amount of sauce (not too much)! Chicken Katsu was made fresh. The inside is also super super cleanConvenient location — just west off the 179 exit on I5“
“The food is very good And they give you very good service but they are doing something very wrong with the employees. I have friends who work there and say that the tips left by customers are not given to the workers. If customers leave tips, they would have to make sure where the money they make with that money goes. They would have to talk to industrial labor so that they report that they do not want to give them that money. some do not speak for fear of losing their job but it is not fair what they do in that place with the workers“
“Food was amazing. I had a sushi date with a couple friends and we came hungry, we ordered takoyaki, gyoza, 7 rolls, and some sake and it all was delicious.Service was really nice, place is clean, it is a bit small and seating is close together, it is what it is though.“
“Almost hesitant to review this place as I want to keep it a secret, but there’s no doubt that this is one of the best sushi restaurants in the PNW. Had the chance to try their take out omakase and chirashi sets - both were amazing!! Can’t wait for my next chance to dine-in!“
“This restaurant is great! I usually just do takeout. We love the yakisoba and pork teriyaki. Food is great, generous portions, very friendly owner, female owner. You might have to wait when she is very busy, but well worth it. She is very entertaining and enthusiastic.“
“Good terriayaki, constantly the same everyday! I have eaten more terriayaki than most people, I know teriyaki, and I'm just starting to share my thoughts because I have some extra time in my life. One thing you can expect from this place is constantancy in their food. The teriyaki chicken is juicy, and not rubbery meaning they know how to grill it!. The spicy chicken is cooked with love by infusioning their spicy sauce by wok and adding fresh cut onions, just by taking the time to wok it tells you they are not lazy. The other things on their menu are decent and is above the standards in Seattle's terriayaki world.Serving size is decent, and you will have a little extra if you are the average person with a appetiteThe only issue I have is price. You decide for yourself......I ordered:1 spicy chicken1 terriayaki chicken1 order gyoza2 coke bottlesCost= $46.80“
“Even though I work as a manager at another restaurant, this is where I come every day. If you really love Meat and Chicken you can have a perfect meal with excellent Teriyaki sauce, great salad dressing and great soups. I love coming every day.“
“This is for their new AYCE menu. I unfortunately never had the opportunity to try Niku prior to the AYCE revamp. The price and food quality is pretty good for an AYCE BBQ place. Better service and food compared to some Korean BBQs that I’ve been to. Notable recommendations are the Karubi, Beef Tongue, and Finger meat. Then if you’re a fan of duck, definitely try the Duck Breast from the A La Carte selection. Their vegetable/sauce/side dishes area might seem small but it honestly offers core pieces at a BBQ place (veggies, rice, soup, and etc.)The 90 minute limit didn’t bother my party of 3 at all. We all enjoyed our time and the employees never rushed us or anything like that. I was pretty dang full nearing that 90 minute mark anyways.I do recommend a reservation though if you’re showing up on a Saturday night. The restaurant was pretty packed and I could tell there was quite a wait. Also the atmosphere is just great, very dim and cool ambience.Definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for a different AYCE BBQ place in the Aurora area. It’s a nice option since it’s closer than going over to Bellevue for Gyu-Kaku.Parking: It’s a free shared parking lot with a bunch of other stores. So you might not get a prime spot in front of the Asian Family Market. But you can park at the Hobby Lobby or LA Fitness nearby and walk on over.“
“Wow. Just wow!!!! The Sashimi tastes so fresh, moist, and perfect. The Firecracker roll topped with spicy Tuna was amazing and well balanced. The atmosphere was quiet and serene when I went at 3:15 p.m which was perfect for me. The staff are so lovely and welcoming. Lastly, the plating presentation was lovely <3Everything about this place is amazing! I absolutely love it! Hands down my new go-to spot for Sashimi and sushi!Parking: This is located at a strip mall close to a movie theatre so parking could get full depending on time of day.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp to concrete leading to restaurant. Plenty of room inside to accommodate wheelchair accessibility“
“It was really busy, I wish they had more wait staff. Took us a bit to give our order, but eventually, when we got it, it helped us forget because the sushi was so good. The sitting area is pretty small and it gets packed. The rolls we had tasted super fresh and did not disappoint.“
“My first time was last week and I'm going back there again so does that tell you anything spicy chicken breast gyoza and miso soup everything was delicious and can't wait to try something else and the people there are very nice!!!“
“This is our go to for teriyaki, only done takeout cuz it’s a easy dinner/lunch on a work day. Best bang for your buck with decent quality food. For $16 you get teriyaki/katsu with salad, 4 pieces of California roll and side of tempura plus miso soup! When pho prices are $12~18 nowadays, this place is GREAT value. The people who works there are always nice and work quickly.“
“One of our longtime favorite sushi restaurants, Sam's is always delicious. On our recent trip, we enjoyed nigiri, bento box, and udon soup--it was all outstanding. This restaurant is wheelchair accessible. Street parking is hit and miss (no parking lot unfortunately). Now that bento now comes with maguro (tuna) instead of hamashi, but the wait staff graciously provided hamachi (yellowtail) this time only. We'll be back!Kid-friendliness: family friendlyWheelchair accessibility: Door is wide enough, but needed help opening (old building). Ramp just inside was wide, easy to walk down. Regular tables, able to wheel up to one. Didn't use the rest room. No handicap parking but you may find street parking nearby. We found a place out front, there's an old ramp right here too (former loading dock?). Staff was pleasant and helpful.“
“Restaurant was spotless and had nice dining room with complimentary yummy hot tea. Food was served within 5 minutes and it was so delicious and so fresh. I interacted with two staff members there, one man and one woman, and they were both so friendly and accommodating. Dined in for lunch and then got another order of food to go for dinner. It was that good! The cherry on top: a restroom you are actually allowed to use without needing a code or any other ridiculous restriction of use. I hope they stay on Aurora for a long time.Vegetarian options: No tofu unfortunately but veggie options for any dish“
“As someone who really loves teriyaki, this place is amazing for me! The teriyaki chicken and salad are so delicious and fresh. I also loved the General Tso’s Chicken. The price is very reasonable, especially for lunch. Overall, I highly recommend this place and plan on coming here again ?“
“First time at Toshi’s Teriyaki. I ordered 21, Teriyaki Spicy Garlic Chicken. I took a bite and the chicken was juicy and quite tender. The rice is very moist. Presentation could be better but it’s a Teriyaki place lol. Overall, I would definitely come back for more!“
“High quality and tasty rolls! Had the Salmon Lemon, Shrip tempura, Spider rolls. Fresh ingredients and excellent portions. Also tried the spicy ramen which was delicious and very well presented in the bowl. Kids had the Katsu Don and gobbled it up. Servers were attentive and overall inviting. Will come again!“
“A small gem that is easy to find and a real bargain when it comes to quality and price. The Dragon Roll alone is worth the trip there. Lots of choices between Chinese, Japanese and Korean options. It is made to order not dished out of a pan under a heat lamp. Complimentary Mitsu Soup broth and tea. The place is very clean including the bathrooms. Service is friendly and efficient. Order at the counter and it is delivered to your table. This is a place where I am sure to return many times.“
“Katsu Burger in Ballard was the perfect thing to find on a beautiful Saturday afternoon! The moment you walk in, you’re welcomed with genuine smiles and warmth from the owners. They’re not just serving up burgers; they’re creating a welcoming community hub! We indulged in the Umami Wagyu Burger x 2 and a side of their Nori Fries, complete with the heavenly trio of dipping sauces – curry mayo, nori ranch, and wasabi mayo. Each bite was a taste sensation- flavor bomb MOMENT, prepared with obvious care and attention to detail. The owners’ kindness TRULY just shines through in every aspect of their establishment, making you feel like part of the family from the moment you arrive. If you’re searching for more than just a meal – a genuine experience filled with delicious food and heartfelt hospitality – then Katsu Burger is the place for you. Give them a visit and let them wrap you in their warm embrace with a side of curry mayo.“
“After the first bite, we said “never again are we trying another place.” Consistently the best sushi of my life, we keep trying to find a place closer to where we live, but the hour drive for this art is worth it and makes anything else feel ridiculous In comparison. Mango Kiwi and Seahawks are our current favorites, but really it’s all amazing. Fish is incredibly consistently fresh, and it is so clear the sushi chef has put his life into this.“
“I was in search of a place to eat one night and I've always wanted to go to this place to try it out. One night I gave it a try and the food was good and the service great. Since that first time I've been back at least seven times. Every item I've ordered met my expectations and satisfied my appetite. I eventually want to try everything on their menu.“
“Had a Chicken and beef teriyaki combo. Light drizzle of sauce, evenly seasoned beef and chicken, and good ol' fashioned regular white rice for the sticky rice. Salad was missing the dressing, but the seasoning more than made up for that. And being as busy as this place is around closing, they move quick and still strive for excellence! Really good dish for my first time here. ?“
“Best Teriyaki ever. Tried a few places in the area (only because Kim's closes on weekends!) and none came even close. The food is delicious, the portions are generous and Mr Kim and his associate are very kind. Recently I turned up just after they closed up the kitchen for the night and Mr Kim was kind enough to offer to fire up the grill just for my meal!“
“I came in at the last 5 minutes because i didn’t notice the time. The staff were very accommodating and had my food ready in less than 5 mins. I got home and sat down to eat and let me tell you, this is the best teriyaki I’ve had in a long time! Well done!!“
“Only reason I didn't want to go here was because of the area, but I saw they had really good ratings so I went. Very nice and clean and welcoming place. Greeted very welcoming, food was a bit pricey but what isn't now... Food was delicious!!! Will be back, def recommend. Plenty of parking as it's in a small strip mall, we left and there was a beautiful rainbow. ?“
“Just tried the classic chicken teriyaki with a can of pop. Came out to under $14 which unfortunately is considered an amazing price for teriyaki in Seattle these days (competitors further north on Greenwood would charge around $18 for a similar order).“
“The food was really good and you get large servings for leftovers and the customer service is excellent and the tables are always clean. I was a little cold, though, especially when people walk through the door. Everything else was amazing!“
“Amazing ? burger joint that is Japanese style. You definitely get what you pay for here. Amazing taste and tons of flavor. The Mt. Fuji is huge and could feed 2 people! Must try for anyone who likes burgers ?. Also, have other dishes! Will be back again soon!Vegetarian options: They have vegan burgers also ?“
“The texture, cor, taste, sauces, seasoning, moisture, softness of the chicken, the freshness of the vegetables, and the richness yet not too rich teriyaki sauce mixture is almost to die for! Well balanced dish (although I had extra chicken), and the atmosphere (me being alone in the restaurant felt kinda good, but it's a little forlorn). Why not many people eat at this location is beyond me, but I HIGHLY recommend eating here. True quality and real appreciation of Teriyaki. Next time, I have to try something else besides just teriyaki. :)“
“Sunny’s has become my new obsession. I’ve tried other teriyaki, just to try it and see if I’m missing something, but this place is just so good it wins every time. Authentic taste, excellent portions (we’re talking multiple meals), fast service and kind people. I try to keep my eating out to a minimum but I do treat myself a few times a month and it’s here. I usually go for either the regular or spicy chicken teriyaki and the yakisoba. You can’t go wrong with whatever you pick.“
“Surprisingly good teriyaki! Clean, well-ordered, and they have a cool little watch & jewelry shop within.A small suggestion: putting the salad in a spinner would take excess water away and the dressing (very good btw) would taste better!“
“Muto has a wide variety of Japanese food items, including sashimi, sushi, ramen, udon, curry, and even lunch specials.I got the lunch special #4 which comes with chicken katsu, 4 California rolls, and three pieces of nigiri. It also came with rice, salad with sesame dressing, and a little sweet egg omelette piece. My friend got the garlic ramen with pork and marinated soft egg. This is probably one of my favorite ramens on the menu. So yummy! We've been here twice, as it's a good spot to go to after spending some time at Olympus spa, just around the corner.“
“Rolls, not bowls. Rolls, not bowls. Say it with me. The rolls are great -- fresh and cheap, with decent rice. The (teriyaki) bowls are not. [the chirashi bowl is pretty good too but that is 1/2 roll, 1/2 bowl]Specifically, our chicken teriyaki bowls had no flavor (or sauce). My in-laws (who generally like bland foods) said they would try it again after putting coconut aminos on it.The ~15% 'tax' is dubious, but the value is still good. Our order was ready for us promptly when we arrived. I would definitely order a party platter in the future for family dinners!“
“After many years of driving past this spot we decided to give it a shot. Great location, plenty of free parking, and decent food. We ordered two rolls I've never had before, 1) Golden Dragon and 2) Double Tuna Roll - both were delish. Our only complaint was the selection of music that was playing. Very very odd for an Asian restaurant.“
“Located in a slightly sketchy-looking strip mall at the intersection of Mukilteo Speedway and 84th Street SW, Rainbow Wok and Teriyaki is a family-owned eatery specializing in both Japanese-style teriyaki offerings and Chinese dishes. I first stopped here for dinner when I was on a business trip in the area during January 2023, and returned in March 2023. On my first visit I ordered a Japanese/Chinese combination, chicken teriyaki with General Tso’s Chicken. I was impressed enough to come back a couple months later, when I went for chicken chow mein plus a side salad with very tasty dressing. In both cases, the food was well-prepared and flavorful. The dining room and service counter were clean and tidy. The service was friendly and efficient, the prices (while not cheap) were fair for these inflationary times, and the food portions were generous. I enjoyed both my meals at Rainbow Wok and Teriyaki, and would not hesitate to return should my business bring me back to Mukilteo.“
“My dad has been getting his hair cut by May for 20+ years...and this past weekend I decided I was DESPERATE for a cut, unable to find an opening at any salon, so I decided to give May's place a try. Honestly, my dad had taken me to her when I was a kid, and I got one of those too short haircuts that traumatize you - but I was 12 at the time and probably very unable to communicate what I wanted...SO, I decided it was worth a go as an adult, and man it was worth it. I walked on in, and walked out in 30 minutes with exactly the cut I had asked for! You can pay a lot more for a cut (trust me, I've been to Gene Juarez and Seattle Aveda salons) and get the same results. Great value, great service, and May is lovely so I don't foresee needing to go anywhere else!“
“This place came highly recommended, and I’m glad to have tried it. The beef teriyaki was absolutely delicious. The miso soup was good and really hot. I would definitely recommend giving this place a try, if you’re looking for yummy teriyaki and good customer service.“
“Loved the original fried chicken and veggie croquettes. The fries weren't so good, maybe cuz they got steamed in the take out container during the ride home.Parking: Not alone of spaces for all of the businesses in the strip. Many have to temporarily park in the no zone along the street.“
