The ranch if you can call it that is just straight mayonnaise and this super super low quality Ranch kind of tells me the quality of food that they stock in the kitchen. I would love to tell you about the flat Modelo or orders being not quite right but seriously how can you be serious with that mayonnaise Ranch so disgusting??
How It Was
Discovered this place a bit late, grateful they relocated to Pacific Ave. We’ve been more than a few times since. Food and atmosphere are both awesome. Service is hit and miss but lots of points to a wonderful owner that seems to always be present and to our server tonight, Miriam, who is by far the best we have seen at Equal Latin or for that matter, anywhere else in a long time. Thank you!Parking: Free parking, nice lot. Always looks like we won’t find parking, but we have never had an issue.

Waited an a while for server to take order. Waited an hour for food. Food brought out was not what was ordered and we were told they ran out of tortillas.
The place was dirty. The food was horrible, and the service was even worse. I would never recommend this place to anybody.

The parking is a joke. The table we were sat at had old food crusted on it. We ordered for 4 adults and 3 kids(3, 7, & 9). The size of the kids meals for $7 is ridiculous, kids left still hungry from the toddler size portions, the quesadilla was half a street taco shell. The adult portions are very large, good amount of food for the price. The food was decent. The service was very very slow and we asked for a side of beans 3 times and never received it so we gave up. They messed up two of our orders and since we waited so long for the food and hadn't even gotten the beans, we decided to just deal with it. The server was nice, just not very attentive or just overworked and they need more staff. Overall, not a great experience.

I had high hopes for Equal Latin, but the service and food fell very short. A vegan menu is advertised, the waitress confirmed no dairy, yet my burrito came with cheese on top. My food was replaced, but it looked like the contents were slopped into a new tortilla. On a Friday night, I understand restaurants are extremely busy; we were quite patient. The waitress was not interactive, friendly, and was quite frankly rude. I do not recommend and will not return.

What a mess.Food: Overall it was pretty weak. I ordered the mole, and was served a giant plate of chicken with the smallest sides of rice and beans I've ever seen. Totally disproportionate. I thought they had forgotten to add veggies, but upon closer inspection, I found a few bits of cabbage and tomato buried in there.Service: Unbelievably bad. We waited over an hour for our dinner, and they forgot half my wife's order. Literally brought her a plate of sides like that was what she ordered. They obviously don't have the staff to serve all the people they can pack into ther new location.Atmosphere: Also terrible. They had some janky sound system set up that must have had a short somewhere because there was a constant buzz that was louder than the music. I actually had to leave and get ear plugs and come back in the middle of my meal because the staff were too overwhelmed to deal with it. The music was also just one short playlist on repeat the whole time.Overall, I just wanted to get out and enjoy some time with family on a Friday evening and had a pretty bad time there. Not going back.
