Well executed bar eats w many things grown in-house or made from scratch, including the dough for their buns and peppers for their chicken spice mix. I’ve tried almost everything on the menu, and it’s elevated to say the least. Their Smash burger is BEST BURGER in town, and their fried chicken sandwich beats out State & Central by a few degrees of magnitude. Great local beer selection as well.
Great food with a cozy ambience, who could ask for more? We had the delicious lumpia and a spicy chicken sandwich. We enjoyed conversation with our server and it was all around a great visit. Only recommendation is to put a small kiddo table in your window as seating isn't exactly kid friendly. I wouldn't deduct any stars for it though cause my kiddos had a blast on the swivel chairs. Keep it up!

I have eaten at Halyards Cafe 4 times now, I keep coming back because the food is that good. All hand made breads, buns, chips and sauces. The smash burger and yard chicken sandwich were amazing. If you want all homemade food wonderfully seasoned and cooked to perfection give Halyards a try. Open Thursday thru Sunday; eclectic nautical decor with a cool vibe.
