Great place with tasty vegan options! And non-vegan ones too! The blackberry French toast is incredible. And it's available gluten free if you ask!

This place is nearly impossible to get into because it's so damn good, and tiny. The food is amazing, local, and organic and the coffee is the best in town hands down.

Fantastic breakfast spot downtown, the vibe is very homey in a worn-in way, just right.Vegetarian options: Didn't spend long looking at the menu but the tofu chilaquiles is amazing

Placed an online order during regular business hours and it was cancelled minutes later without explanation. Called the restaurant twice and no one picked up. Sent two emails to the owners and have not received a response in over a week. Either this place is closed or no one cares about service.

Little hole in the wall with only a few tables. It was quiet and the staff was friendly. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful. The decor I did not care for, especially the political statements. Business should be politically neutral and catheter to all, despite their believes of affiliations. Restaurants are about hospitality and shouldn't make some feel welcome and other not. I personally don't rake sides, but I felt a bit out of place because the political statements made me feel as if Antifa will walk in any moment and start trashing everything. It was an uneasy feel.Other than that, it was a nice place to eat at.

Probably one of the more successful employee-owned restaurants in Olympia the New Moon provides a very good breakfast menu. I recommend the veggie benedict and spring for the rice medallions. Good coffee and good service in a small (some might say "cramped") space. At peak mealtime be prepared to wait for a table but you will probably fine the wait is worth it.Vegetarian options: Veggie benedict, other vegetarian and vegan items are on the menu.

This is a great breakfast option whether you're a local or visiting from out of town. It's in walking distance to record stores, books stores, thrift stores and more. You only need to park once and you're good to go! We loved that it's a cooperative (employee owned and run) restaurant. You can also add some money to your final bill for their community fund which helps feed people in need. Lots of veggie, vegan, and carnivore options; something for everyone. Sweet and savory dishes aplenty. We opted for the vegan biscuits and mushroom gravy as well as the "Amsterdam" omelet. The biscuits and gravy were fantastic. The hasbrowns a were a little stringy, cooked a bit more well-done than most places, and they had a lot of oil left over in the plate - overall they were okay but not the best we've ever had. The omelet was yummy and appreciate that it came with fresh veggies and gruyere cheese...mmmm. I do wish their juice was fresh (vs bottled). Wanted to order a chai but they were out...next time! They also have coffee, regular tea, hot cocoa, and mimosas, however we just stuck with water. The space itself is a bit small and intimate, not the best for groups over 4 people. They do have some chairs outside to sit as you wait for a table to become available. A funky space with lots to keep you occupied while looking at the walls. Overall we recommend this place and can't wait to go back! It's a rare thing to find vegan biscuits and gravy! Everyone working was also super friendly :)

01/25/2024: Popped in for breakfast around 1030a-ish for 3 of us. Cute, cozy spot. We waited for about 20 minutes for a table. The space seats about 20 people. Friendly staff. We ordered blackberry french toast, biscuit and gravy, Forest omelette, and Big A Classic breakfast. Love the hash browns although a bit oily, I love the crispy parts. The sausage gravy is delicious! Very savory, loved the cumin. Biscuit was okay, a bit on the dense side. Omelette was perfect, egg was soft and fluffy. Love the fruit cup! Apple, orange, blueberry, strawberry, kiwi!

I found the quality mediocre and overall not a good value. My breakfast sandwich was good. But my hasbrowns were over cooked (almost black) on the outside and oily on the inside. Maybe I got a bad day as the hashbrowns in others peoples pics look much better.$18 plus tip for an egg sandwich with ham, hashbrowns, and coffee seemed like a lot. Could have done that for half the price at McDs, though I will admit the coffee at New Moon was pretty good.

Just finished absolutely delicious eggs benedict and rosemary garlic potatoes. Wanted to lick my plate. Cooked perfectly and smothered in Hollandaise. The cafe has a wonderful, cozy ambiance with local art on the walls and good service by the hardworking employees.
