New ownership and it's fantastic! Went in March 2024 and again in April. Had the Cioppino both times. Very consistent, very flavorful, and very fresh! Packed full of seafood without a hint of fishiness and was actually enough food to fill up a grown man. My wife enjoyed her burger and said that the fries were the best she's had, very crispy.
We drive from Bellevue to Port Townsend every Tuesday, like to get a bite to eat on the way. Tried JJ's. I have had cioppino - a personal favorite item - in any number of establishments, including San Francisco and Little Italy in New York. JJ's recipe was just as good--but the seafood included was much better. It was simply outstanding, with even minor details covered (like not having to detach shrimp tails, already done). We had calamari, clam chowder and d fish and chips. Food was all great but the calamari was a bit small. We had the lager and the IPA. Both were great and cold. If you want beer, I would come here instead of wasting my time at the brewery next door as it is colder and better believe it or not. Service was very attentive and the place is clean although it was very crowded.
